The booth they had at CES was pretty big, and on GC aswell. Haven't you seen the pictures from there?

This is their small stand and is not ment for the big shows, but the small ones where there simply isnt room for anything more then.
and if thats all there is room for at certain events, then a little representation is better then no representation.

hehe its a fine enough stand after all its a stand for "Mindark" not "entropia universe" it looks like its more for trying to hire people at a job fair so its perfect booth for that.

Yeah I did see their big showcase. Which makes me wonder even more why they would bother with this display? The 10 x 10 doesn't bother me nearly as much as the total lack of capability to showcase, even to more than 2 or 3 people, "the goods". For less than $1000 USD you could add a KVM, a couple 17" LCDs, and an LCD TV. That would attract a lot more passersby's attention than everyone hunching in to peek while one person works the single keyboard/mouse.

This is a SINGLE showcase. It's not like they have to make a dozen of them! This is not "putting the best foot forward". I've seen children's lemonade stands with better promotion, FFS.

Nice little stand.

One thing isn't good thought out.
It's "Entropia Universe" that should be more well know and not really the company name "Mindark" since MA's only product is Entropia Universe

But I see Mindark in a huge font and Entropia Universe in a relative small font. That could be a bit better done.

A small stand can be as effective as a big stand with lcds, laptops so on.

My problem with this stand is this:

MA seem to be showcasing clothing/makeup/beauty professions when the greater majority of people and in my opinion the biggest draw visually is the hunting and mining in EU. Where are the days when the game was about killing the monsters?

The first impression I get when looking at that backdrop is that EU is a 2nd Life clone, barbie up your avatar, accessorize, dress well, not even close to what it actually is. Is it?

You are not first person who saw that EU changed into 3d chat with clothes and make-up system...its sad.

but yes...we have now more players who are here to meet ppl, to do make-up, to wear awesome clothes...and chat.
4-5 years ago it wasnt like that...and it was great

huge part of community was here to hunt....to mine...to craft...to explore the universe

But...MA will make more money with 3d chat...than wiith awesome hunting and mining...and they know that.

Those days have been gone since 2006

. MA are quite interested in property sales and businesses investing in EU. But, i thought the same thing. The backdrop doesn't portray what the game is to us players.

I didn't see anyone say there was only one of these? We've all seen the huge stand used at other places, and not many think that sucks....this one can't be a replacement, only an additional tool that can be easily transported to many more places?

I have to say it looks nothing like the game I just logged out of ...no mobs, and very barbie indeed. Other planets may not be like Calypso ..so that could make more sense than we know yet couldn't it?

MA getting out more is good, maybe more of us will get to meet the guys and participate if they do more of this?

As for the large images everyone wants for their bedrooms...this won't be as good as far as quality ir concerned...but you could always make one here http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/ print it and paper a wall? The word looks rude, but it's not, it's just an online tool to blow up images into mad sizes for fun.
