I see this as the begining of the end of space travel/exploration.

Some possible outcomes/newslines:

• ISS closed for weekly maintainance
• The spacestation you are trying to log in is currently not available. Do you want log in another space station?
• NASA information online shop: In order to finance the server maintainance fees, the NASA started to charge for informations/pictures/etc related to the space research
• Additionally to the informations for space research NASA also introduced a new fee for retriving space research related data. NASA expects every user of the NASA MMO universe spends 10-25$/hour spent online.
• NASA offering [totaly useless and worthless] virtual space stations for countries who lack the funds for own space research, to allow them to have an imaginary station and at least have the illusion of space research. Bids starts at 10.000.000$.
• Equiping your [virtual] space suit (?) will lower the worth of the suit by 2$ to reflect the decay and also to add an additional layer of realism
• Walking through the NASA MMO universe your clothes will lose on value to reflect their decay and add an additional layer of realism
• During the online sessions in the NASA MMO your avatar will get more and more hungry. When the bar drops below 3% you won't be able to move, walk or look around. If you dont buy and eat some virtual food, your avatar will die and be permanently deleted from the NASA MMO universe and all it's belongings will be transfered to the NASA. The characters can't be restored anymore, so make sure you always buy enough food and eat when you're hungry.
