A number of well known players with +150 HP turned up and the event turned into a bit of a shambles. So lots of heat and fury from some people.

IMO it needed more RX units and they should have some MA umpires to kill any +150 people in the PvP 1 area.

I was at the whole event in pvp1 and I can say that not much of that was going on. Or maybe it occurred in the 5 minutes that I wasn't around.

As for the comment on fapping. Come on man, what is fapping the equivalent of caressing their soft shiny golden locks?
It's a total moot point. That could get out of hand.

Just reporting what I observed, the comments I heard at the revive area, views of people that I spoke to and posts on the forum. I am not getting involved in the morality of it all or the rights and wrongs.

Well they did crash the rig, perhaps that is a partial victory - temporary disruption of valuable oil supplies, though not via the intended method

As far as I know the o-so-famous "fapping of the RX unit" only lasted about 10 seconds and most people were laughing at the time (and then another RX unit suddenly appeared out of nowhere and killed me, so I didn't see anymore what happened right then), Star only showed up after about 1 hour and 20 minutes into the event.

The real problem was people being PKed on their way back from the revival terminal by people waiting just at the spot ~1 minor jump away from the revive. That and some people, other M2S members for example, intent on killing as many people as possible, while they were chasing the RX units. Of course there was regular PKing going on as well, but most people were actually trying to drive the RX units off.

3. My post was intended to give some non judgemental background info and explanation to the two MA posts on this thread

How long the fapping took, wether or not it was a joke - who did it etc will rapidly fade into the 'mist of time' - the story is already being told in game and on this forum. I don't have a view it. I just think it was a 'spur of the moment' joke that has been misinterpreted and was (in retrospect) a little bit unwise.

My only view on the event is that the +150 HP players shouldn't have gone into PvP 1 - especially if these players had already killed a Rx in PvP2 and then prevented other players from doing the same thing in PvP1 area. It seemed to me a bit selfish and egotistical.

yep i saw all the PK ATH's and didnt even bother to go into this event. such a great idea ruined by so few. i would suggest that MA have this in a non PVP area or get some umpires in there to take out the PK'ers.
