We've had 19 empty Land Areas for the last six months. And if this round is due to be surrendered in August of 2006, will they be empty once again until Land Grab 2007?

I think everyone hopes that there will be LGs conducted every 6 months on schedule. But if that's not in the works, how about an extension in ownership to avoid empty LAs?

Sorry mrproper, but prices have been getting out of hand since marcus calendar took the land back from the last land grab with people anticipating it. So, there has been a lot of build up in prices already do to that, with no announcement. So that's not a good reason imo.

Dub, your right. What's the point of taking the land back and letting those IP points deteriorate to nothing after all the money the socs spent to get them spun up.. Now, LG will come and fert prices will skyrocket again when all the socs start accumulating it for their own needs. wtg MA...

I fail to see the reasoning behind the schedule. I have heard people say, well , MA wants to do it during their work day so they can monitor the servers or solve problems whatever. I say that's a BS reason. Any normal company looks to serve the customer before themselves. It seems to me that MA's meat and potatoes customer is tech oriented and has a good paying job to provide discretionary income to play this expensive game. I know there are non-depositors living off gathering dung or whatever, I'm not talking about them, I guarantee they are the minority and not the people paying the electric bill at MA. If this is true, then it would make sense to have the LAG on the weekend when most players that work, can get the time off. If that's the best time for the customer (us people that pay to play) then MA should be able to provide support staff over the weekend for the event. Its not like it happens every weekend ffs. I work in IT, and I often have to work evenings and weekends to get things done around the business's downtime. They are my customer. They pay my bills so I keep them happy. I don't think that MA thinks the same way, which has a way of alienating a paying customer base.

Well, I would be interested to hear from MA to help me understand the reasoning if its different then this.

As it is, I have skilled my virtual ass off, invested heavily in all kinds of weapons and armor to prepare for this, all so I to get into a good soc that would have the opportunity to compete successfully in LG, and now I find out that its on a freakin weekday on a monthly production release week for me. WTG MA!

I will hang around to see what transpires out of this, but it feels a lot like MA is ignoring the needs of their paying customer base - yet again.

All I can say is,

MA, don't forget we paying customers have choices where we can spend our entertainment dollars. Up until now I have chosen to spend my entertainment money on PE. But as customers, we have the right to ask the places where they spend our money, "What have you done for me lately?" And lately, I can say, I have not seen much in the way of anything that interests me from you. And this is an example of that.

Couldnt agree more with Shaolin as an IT-related employee. I cant see MA as a customerrelated company, unfortenuately, too many self experinced poroofs of that already... I Dont think i have much to get in the land grab, but it would be entertaining, im on parental vacation so i can be online this time.

Some questions:
- Are there new areas opened for this on Amathera or is it only squared ones for land grab?
- What expenses are to come for claimed areas?
- How do mining and hunting work on claimed areas that owner does nothing about, will there spawn enmatter, ore and mobs anyway?

Would be like more fair play if especially last questions to be answered by MA.

It'd be awesome for another Robot Invasion at the other towns at home while people are at LG. Or it wud be better if the robots invade the landgrab and claim all the territories and make us their slaves

i think you are forgetting the world doesnt revolve around america.....
there are other countries too where people play this game.

What could be midnight for you is midday for someone else. So really whatever time MA start this, its going to be late for someone.

Without wishing to defend MA in anyway, how can they expect to keep everyone happy?

I think your comments that they should change it just to suit you, simply re inforces the stereotypical view that many people have of americans

The "2006" doesn't mean there will be just one LG during 2006.

The LG consists of phases, each phase will be on different days, at different times - if you have problem making it to one phase, maybe the next one will be better. Once one phase is finished, the next one will be announced.

tbh first fase is not just bad for the american players, also european players have to go to school/work at 7am in the morning..
