Event system coming

Hello,

MA is currently in the design phase of the future Event system, allowing for Project Entropia participants to make their own events in the virtual universe. We have several items on our content list for that system, but to not steer creativity, I am wondering what you guys and gals would like to see in such an Event system?

Oh YES! This has been long waited for

I want to see a event-terminal (make it my favorie color -Purple! )
Where you can schedule events, a eventcalendar. And you can hire for example a ring for a few hours, where you can, as in apartments, choose who can enter.
But there should be somekind of safety that someone doesnt take the ring for hours just to be able to skill alone..

EDIT:
It would also be cool if you could get some kind of proof that you won, that you can put on your shelf at home. Offcourse this shouldnt be tradeable, and 0 tt.
Say a Cup, where the event-name or let say the eventmaker get to write something (Max something characters long)
I would also like it if the Miss Calypso and HE-man contest got one of those banners over them, that they could wear. Ohh, yea that would be fun

B-day Party event notifier....Mayabe someting that peeps could RSVP, to let the Bday person know that theyre comming??

The Idea of having a way to register an event is a good one Skam. Also having tangible proof of winning something is a good idea too.

Perhaps the event coordinator could have the ability of creating the trophy/award? Kind of like buying one out of TT sort of.

You could create the award with a custom event placard.

It would be cool to make the prize like a storage box where you can put the prize winnings into.

I would make it so that once the goodies were put in you couldn't take em out till after the event,that way you'd avoid scamming.

A Global Notification of the Event would be cool...and having it posted on the CLU would be cool too. That way those players that don't go to the Forums can see it too.

A trophy for won events would prolly be exploited alot, two players starting "fake" events, one as event holder, the other as winner, simply to get some kind of item to put in their apartments.
Making it so a trophy cost some amount of ped would be like making furniture available in the trade terminals. Ppl would still make fake events to be able to buy that trophy.

A possible event terminal would be flooded with events just to get a trophy

Maybe making a restriction so only events with atleast 50 contestants would be able to get a trophy for the winner.

Making events terminals where event holders could add their event, when the event is added to the terminal it would be in a "Pending" state until enough players have joined that event, when enough have joined, let's say minimum 25 players, the event would be moved to a "Confirmed" category, fee for joining an event could be 1 ped minimum or so, paying for the tools provided by MA and a possible trophy.

The fee for joining could be adjustable by the event holder, so 1 ped went to the event terminal, and the rest for winning prizes.

Im afraid your right. A terminal which everyone could use would just bee flooded.

Maybe make it so you can add your event and when say 10 people have signed up for it, it becomes valid. Sort of like the societys? So you would have to add your event and within a week you would have to have participants signing up or the event would be removed. Also maybe different categories in the terminal. I would like to see the old voting thinghys as Event terminals

Wish MA would implement the Rep System.

I like the Confirmed/Pending Idea.

I dunno about an entry fee but that would help MA defray the costs. Perhaps they could be the award/prize giver?

Or perhaps the Event coordinator/s could put the prize stuff into the terrminal after the event has been confirmed?

U could send a Screenie to MA of the official winner and that person claims the prize from the event booth?

uhh bad idea..you could always photoshop a screenie...my bad.

i like the idea of event terminal very much, and i would love to se some kind of list in it that says wich people are in the event and wich people are holding in the event.. i also like the ideas of trophys, but its easy that they become very usual and that people make fake events, as you said. a solution for this might be to have mindark orginizing some events every year that have these kind of prices (that may be selleble) or when breaking "largest event" records those prices might be cool to the winners too...

We could require that MindArk has to accept/deny pending applications requesting certain features. This might prevent any "fake" events from popping up.

The most important thing I would like to see in an event system is being about to boot people out of the event. There have been quite a few problems recently with people ruining events, and I would hate to see this behavior continue. If it is possible to dynamically change terrain in PE, perhaps an event arena could be rented and changed to what the event creator needs (i.e. a ring, or a catwalk, etc.).
