Just came to think of it... I don't think it can be a new game engine. MA has already said VU 7.5 and the last time the engine was changed we jumped a few steps over. So if it were to be a new engine shouldn't it be like VU 8.0 or something? ... pardon me if this is idiotic, haven't slept well for two months time, need a few hundreds hours of sleep to catch up.

didnt know the Vu first mark (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,) relied on the engine system... never knew what it was anyway. (thought that this one was going high too,)
but i guessed that they wait with 8.0 to introduce some gigantic new stuff, lik for instance taming fully orso (with full amethera) or some thing like that.

please Marco explain on the Vu first number (4, 5, 6, 7, etc)

I personally think the suprise will be new bugs and exploits to make mobs trappable and damagable

yea i thought the same thing but hey Marco could have said 7.5 just to through us off.

but my main point is that it should be comming i think.

well ma have never been good at chosing VU numbers, usualy 1.0 means just released 1.1 would be first patch next patch migh be 1.2 or even 1.1.1 version 2.0 mostly means it is actualy (almost) a completly new product or atleast a vastly updated one.

but when ma makes a VU they just add what feels right or atleast it feels like that.
so even if it was a new engine i dont think they would follow any pattern with the numbers.
and since the new one we have was implented not that long ago (from a mmo perspective) i think the chances of a new engine is 0.01% :p

personaly i hope its dual wield :P or the info on tools that have been due a LOOOONG while.

I think Marco stated when VU 7.4 came out, that they had 2 teams runnig, one who was making the content that we now know as 7.4 and one with the content of 7.5, so it might actually be a new engine.. but I doubt it as stated a bit above
