Before the auction fee is increased, we need a simple and reliable way to find the best price for any item/material in shops and directions to the shop. This information is now difficult to find in the guide, or incomplete/outdated on pe-wiki. It is now fairly simple to find items/materials on auction, but auction would become limited to high-level users. Noobs need a simple system even more than the experienced players do.

The new way the auction is working is yet another way for MA to kill their own product by slowly taxing it to death.
The joy of the game i found when started playing is now gone. It has become all about money now and people are leaving because they simply cant afford playing anymore. The new auction tax was the last nail in the coffin. My small but tight nit soc have lost 2 members due to this. Please MA, release the stranglehold on the players and put the fun back in the game. Please......? ![]() |

Lovelly solution that MA gaves us don't you think ?
Oh well, and I thinking that they had a great future and such, trying to create a Virtual Universe Economy. 1 step foward, 2 steps backwards it is how I see this VU. So much potential wasted because of continued wrong management decisions. First rule in value is: don't loose or decrease the trust in it. Oh well, it is just another game in a fancy publicity package. I must thank them I have a great time so far, and I'm sure I will have more, just not the kind I was expecting. Time to move on, things change, I'll adapt my decisions to the new information. You do know what entropia means don't you ? |

Thanks Marco...
For the update on how you think at MA. But there were many unannounced changes in the last VU. The info should about these changes and why you have done it should come in front of a VU not after in my opinion And the vote terminal should be given more priority if it's true that you what to hear the communities view on things. ![]() |

there is a problem with your curent changes of the auction system.
foremost, one must observe that the auction system serves two sepparate economies. on one hand there are the stackable items. on the other, there are the non stackable items. these two economies are completely distinct in their needs. the first needs an auction system exactly like it is now. the second needs an auction system exactly like it used to be(or at least not taking percentage % fee for open bid when item wasnt sold). the change that you have applied is beneficial to the economy overall, because it serves the needs of the first, which is currently greater, at the expense of the second, which is smaller. however, it is in fact a blind game of passing the buck, and the consequences on the long term are nil at best. attempting to apply the same policy to the sale of chicken eggs and diamonds can't ever be successfull. one could treat the eggs as if they were diamonds, or conversely treat diamonds as if they were eggs. depending which chunk is bigger, one approach or the other might seem preferable. but the fact remains, treating eggs and diamonds the same way is silly. the stackable economy needs desperately the sort of discipline and price attrition you have currently implemented. prices need to be brought down to what the market wants them to be, and in the process expand the crafter market. on the other hand, the non stackable economy and skills can't afford a situation wherein immense taxes are levied on imaginary proffits. such a policy is disatrous, because it makes the trade of medium and high priced items impossible. and what is the point of hunting if a good item looted can't be sold ? and what is the point of crafting if there's no point in hunting ? shops can to a certain degree compensate, but it's really like using a cpu fan to cool a nuclear reactor. in macroeconomics it often happens that autorities are paralyzed by the fact that measures desperately needed by one chunk of the economy are horrible for some other chunk. you however are under no requirement to apply one single policy. divide the auction, let resources trade as they trade now, let items trade as they used to. increase the tax maybe, to 5, 10 peds for listings,or a percentage % fee for final price sold, if there's a database/server cost issue at play. thank you for reading and maby comments. |

Certainly, u have good and funy ideas. More this Universe be old, more he look like true life, whith true tools of power and better graphics. I just think about brand new noobs coming here; and i think it will more difficult for them, in the future, to totaly understand the way of the Universe in a laps of few days, weeks or years... Mentors will have more and more work, to teach, and explain the full history of PE and EU. Thats is just one of the real human aspect of this universe. Mentoring will be a full time job whith no place, if we make it seriously, for personnal developpement : It will be a vocation.
Bye the way of the EULA, u can control bad aspects of "real casch economy" and bad comportements of some twisted ppl . But "population feelings" will be stronger when we will reach 1.000.000 players. Its mabe the time to think about real ingame politic ... It was just a suggestion. Roger >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Eudoria for EBN. ![]() |
