Thx for giving us a response. Infact, if this change is to reduce "loot lag" it suddenly does make some sense.

But I urge you to look into other ways to reduce it. The current system takes away a lot of fun, since teamhunting is effectively disabled now.

I think the response of the community is clear now, 95% doesn't like the changes. The strong, sometimes emotional, reactions in this and other threads, the massive amounts of supportcases, the ingame teamnames, all show that this is not the way to handle this issue.

I havent teamed since the change, but I do know that if the eomon event were going on, everything would be screwed up. If I jumped onto a Warants team, got crit hit and died, and made it back with only putting a ped or two into the kill, and then we hit a 3,000 Ped hof. Say 2,500 was some type of oil; How do we split? It shouldnt be even, if the others have been there all day and did way more damage on the certain mob.

It would work best if the individual stacks were split as well; Oils = Peds now right? Peds got split according to damage...

I agree that the team system was better before, but I also have to add that I was experiencing more lag when on team hunts before VU 8.7.

During VU 8.6, the infamous lag/rubberbanding VU, the lag would increase noticibly for me when in a team hunt. Maybe they did change the system to improve performance, as I have not experienced team hunt lag during this VU...

I had not mentioned it before because I assumed it was just a part of the overall lag problem we were having with VU 8.6.

I would definately like to see the team system as it was before.

It's a thread sucked from the EU site by a forum bot ffs and it should be seen as a (small) victory that MA have actually posted something on their site acknowledging there are issues with the new system.

I agree with demonic. Bertha is a bot that posted a news item. At least they are trying to communicate with us, which many on the forum complain they don't do enough of.

I'm glad Marco has added his comments and clarified a few points.

They say they are monitoring and so I'm sure some changes will come.

So - Thanks Marco and please keep the information flowing (even if we get upset by it )

What exactly do the majority people in this thread think was the reason MA changed it?

If its not performance, what is it then? Just for fun? Do you think they were bored and just implemented a random change? Or do you seriously think they just did it to screw you?

And why do you think they would lie about their reasons? (What can MA gain by lying?)

i hope MA realise that these team changes open up low level teaming to massive abuse

say i take 3 noobs on a hunt, the dude with the biggest gun gets the stack... hows that fair? ppl who upgrade armor etc must be rubbng thier hands together at the potential here

if this change was to help system performance, then how come there was never massive problems with the old system?

if performance is the key here, then maybe some ppl should look into that MASSIVE MEMOY LEAK... just as a suggestion :p lol

If ma wanted to reduce lag they could remove those boring lag intensive new oxford adverts.

Please bring back the old style of team hunts it was far more enjoyable and i did not mind helping a newb by giving them half ped pec on the team with all items going to highest shooter or whatevery - you hardly ever global on snapples / daks and things and it gets them back to saftey and then they can have a few free ped / pec to enjoy the game and maybe deposit.

Now cant do it.
