Recent Change to Team Settings


MindArk have received a number of enquiries regarding the recent change to the team loot distribution rules. As the motivation for this change was to increase system performance, we wish to evaluate the results of this change entirely over a period of time. Although stackable items are not split between team members, the individual item distribution correlates with the damage inflicted by each team member.

The opinions of participants are also an important part of this evaluation and we urge you to continue to post and discuss your opinions about this change. Our Community Director is following this issue closely.

Omg what a lame response!

What more do they want, the poll clearly showed that 95% of EF users HATE the change.

System performance ... right ... since when do they care about that? Remove the damn PhysX thing if you want performance.

I guess my question would be how will they evaluate the change in performance because of this change? Surely if team hunts were causing performance issues - then things will be better now, but not because of the change - just because there are a lot less team hunts occuring now.

Although I suppose that means that performance has been indirectly improved because of the change (since it made less people hunt in teams) - but I am sure that is not what they meant

I hate the change - I trust the people I hunt with to use a similar-weapon (damage wise to me) and they trust me - the old settings suited me fine. I have only had one occassion where someone tried to scam the team and then I/ we didn't hunt with that person again.

You have effective social mechanisms in place which regulate the process of team hunting - these have evolved around the choice provided. My view is that by changing the choice without consultation you have disrupted the social systems which made team hunting work.

Please give the players back the choice to choose how they want the loot distributing.

Putting IT resources into elements of the game that damage it (like dealing with the players running farms of AFK auto-clickers to sell skills, Bot users in game (sorry Bertha)) would be a better investment in resource than changing loot distribution rules that was generally seen as working effectively.
