Latest News from CardOne Plus concerning the Entropia Universe Cash Card.

The following information has just been issued by CardOne Plus.

"As of 8:30 a.m. Toronto time (EST) we were served notice by North York Community Credit Union ('NYCCU') that MasterCard is shutting off all ATM and POS traffic with respect to all NYCCU programs as of today, January 5, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. EST.

We apologize for this short notice.

However, once again we have been in contact with NYCCU and have requested their solicitors to demand an extension of this. We will keep you all apprised of any new developments. Unless you hear from us to the contrary, please treat this as notice that the cards will not work after 3:00 p.m. EST today.

Due to this, as of now no new card activations and no new loads will be permitted.

Should no extension be granted, we will be working over the next few days with NYCCU to assist in the return of all funds directly to your Cardholders. We will keep you updated regularly.

We will assist you in any capacity to ensure the speedy return of all funds to your Cardholders."

All participants that have not yet managed to withdraw remaining funds on their Entropia Universe Cash Card are asked to Contact the Support Dept. as soon as possible. Your funds are completely guaranteed.

MA is not sutting down EU. It looks like they are just redoing the cash card system. nothing big. so every one RELAX!

Im shure they will have everything working as soon as humanly possible.

6.5 hours notice is pretty unprofesional

haxtor, did u read the release? it doesnt mention EU and certainly doesnt mention anyone redoing anything

anyway good to see we're getting info fast, and also good to see (in another thread) that MA are doing everything they can to help ppl who need to make urgent withdrawls

Perhaps it would save a whole lot of trouble and strife if in addition to the Cash Card (when that's operating again) MA allows people to withdraw direct back to their Credit Card or to something like PayPal.

If MA want to charge a fee for this then that's up to them but at least it gives people more option than waiting 60-90 days for a bank withdrawal.

The "novelty" of withdrawing using a Cash Card is great when it works but at the end of the day players who have invested and want to cash out a return want to be able to access their funds in a timely fashion, be it using a Cash Card, it being delivered by Superman or any other method

My cashcard had the limit activated upto 30k peds

will my new card automatically
have a 30k limit as previous one did,,, please dont say i have to send id off again

I made a withdrawal about 30 minutes ago no problem (1:00 pm EST). I guess this was only 2 hours before the cutoff time of 3 pm EST (8 pm GMT).


For all those trying to blame Mindark for this, please take a moment to carefully read the updates on the EU website. You will see this is something beyond Mindark's control, and seem to be an issue with one of the card processing institutions.

So far, I have been impressed with Marco's communication with the community regarding the cash cards. He has been on the forum providing updates as well as promising that Mindark would expedite traditional withdrawals for Cash Card participants.

Mindark made an announcement about this yesterday, and anyone who was concerned about funds on their cash card had ample time to make a withdrawal.

I ment the info from CardOne Plus, not MA. the quote from them was released at 8.30am and gave notice at 3pm

I appreciate that MA have communicated with us every step of the way on this, srry for any confusion
