Graphics itself don't produce lag for internet connection as long as those are loaded from clientside. CPU-lag will increase if those are to-become ingame graphics. Looking very good though.

Hmm, a new slow site (still quite ugly) with misleading concept art and bought models? Wtg MA!

Only tried it in Opera 9.x so far though Often the menus never load at all! And in the "Gallery & Art" section only "concept art" works. What's up with that? Perhaps a new marketing strategy? Fooling new players that the game contains fairly nice models and beautiful scenery while hiding the true nature of the beast by having a non working screenshot area?

Personally, graphics representative for the game and a professionally designed website are the two first things i look for when i decide to try a new mmo. So I say, boot your current designer and hire a professional one to make a really good looking site.

The site won't open on my blackberry, probably all the flash. Since so much of the text and menus are built into the flash, I imagine that TTS (for blind people, it reads the text aloud), font re-sizing, and automated website translator programs (for non-supported language options) will also fail. I would check, but it loads too slow on my connection at work. :/

But the thing that I find mind-boggling is that rather that use some of the concept art or actual screenshots actually related to PE, the decision was made to purchase artwork that is totally unrelated. Are PE graphics not good enough to represent the product?

I agree with the swedish-goat that a website is a *huge* part of one's first impression of a company. I guess I would hope that the things it represents are actually a reflection of the product they are trying to advertise. The slow load-times and unrelated graphics don't feel "right" to me.

I agree that in some computers the flash slows down a bit.

But in defense of MA i would like to say that most of other games worth mentioning (games, not virtual universes) have artwork on their main page that does not reflect the true ingame graphics (just made a quick check trough a few of them). It is just used for aesthetics and illustration purposes.

Like in the other websites it doesn't say anywhere that those are ingame graphics, and like them there is a screenshots section where everybody can see how it really looks. (yes i know that the ss section is not working properly)

I don't know why the big fuss.

I like the graphics, they are pleasant and catchy, what's the prob of EU having a nice looking and catchy website?
