Hi Magnus,

Most of the questions I had have aleady been touched upon in the 8 pages of posts. I know there will be limited information you can give most of the player base on many of these questions.

When I first started I used to see great hofs (although monetarily not as high as today) and most "uber" players at the time would share those screenies with everyone. Seeing these awesome achievements and the excitement it generated gave me incentive to do upgrade, skill up, and yes deposit.

While I don't mind an every evolving ATH system that increases I do miss seeing the buzz created by people posting screenies of awesome items in their loot and I can't help but think of new people today seeing this as maybe sort of boring. I know the screenies are voluntary and dependant on the individual who gets the loot. The small post in the news section about unlimited items sort of created that same buzz again and snapped people's attention back into just what was in that loot window.

We all know what the rare items are and it would be nice to know they still drop. Would there be a fair an balanced way for MA to show this information? I am not talking about divulging who got the loot just that those loots do infact drop maybe a monthly list.

Also we have ancient tags on some items ingame that were saved. Will there be possibilities to loot these in the future? Sort of like a tier system Unique, rare, semi-rare, sort of common, common, and very common.

Marco stated that all items can drop just at reduced rates well in my mind something that has not dropped in years has stopped and someone might find that very intimidating knowing they would love to work up to an imp mK II one day but don't want to second mortgage their home to get it.

I have many more questions and as I think of them I will edit this post.

*Additional Questions*

Will good incentives be reintroduced or added into the mix of items in loot and mining resources to keep people interested in progressing in EU?

Will we find more than just raw material resources in mining more regularly(ie more bones, ancient buried tech from past wars, other treasuree, etc, etc)?

Will there be more mining and crafting events added to EU? Also will these events be cross functional between professions? So ultimately when there is an event like the robot attacks or Eomon migration it somehow involves all the professions and all skill levels of play to some extent.

Is MA open to ideas and concepts about story lines and new mob concept design?

I suggest you take out the "no loot" message and replace it with 1pec loot. This will help avatars psychologically since the "no loot" message is

Why have there not been any improvements to the Mentor system in recent years? like better items or actually real skill increases.
Surely, Mentors should be get real rewards for all getting starters to continue through to the qualification level ( How much average PED does it take to qualify ?)

mining

Why quantity of ore finders is not ballanced? I mean there is A LOT of people with higher mining skills than 2-2,5k in prospecting, and there is lack of equipment matching their skills, not to mention prices. Also this equipment is so symilar, make range of some orefinders bigger or something
At what skill level is it able to find rare ores? Come on i mined till 2.5k prospecting and never saw any gold or ruga stone at my eyes i know it should be rare but hmm i think it would be cool if i would find decent ore in 1000 bombs (so far i droped like.... A LOT and nothing lol).
Why do you keep to favour newcomers and forget to do things for mid and high level players to keep the game enjoyable for them? I mean that skills in mining are worthless so far, look at ATH in mining most of those avatars are newcomers i think...
Also would be nice to allow skilling till 40k or so not only slighty above 10k.

Since it seems that mobs are spawning a lot more than before ... and I guess the loot pool didn't get bigger - but some hofs/ath sertainly did increase - does that mean that there are a bigger amount of no-loots out there?? Or how did you ballance that?

And I really don't know why you stopped crafting - it's your problem not MA's.
Crafting with residue is no lottery.
I think one of the main things in his post is this... With 3k engineering, 1.5k BPC and 2k in your "profession" (attachments, weapons, whatever) you can max a lvl 7-8 (L) bp... Since the only craftable things (almost) that makes sence comes from (L) bps then whats the point in skilling higher? Second part being that a player with the same (after all relatively low) skills get max CoS on a 100qr lvl 5 (and maybe higher) unlimited bp... Again no use for skills... Basically skills are "almost" worthless in crafting after a certain lvl atm... That would piss me off as well if i was the highest skilled crafter ingame tbh... And would give me nothing to aspire for if i was a newbie wanting to skill crafting

1 Please reconcile Marcos Previous statement that all artifacts in game can be part of loot versus MindArks ability to show profit? If the system is truly random as described, then MA risks significant financial impact in the event of the extrememly unlikely drop of certain items and the players involded cashing out.

Are loot artifacts indeed random? What factors are involved in the probability calculations?

General terms are fine, needn't discuss specific game mechanics or proprietary information, just a 50,000 foot overview.


2 We've heard the term "Balancing Manager" ad nauseum, but there's been no real description of what that position entails. Please describe exactly what you balance. Mindark profit and loss? Player..ooops..Participant..ooops.. Colonist profit and loss? Artifact mix in the game? You and Marco on a See-saw?

I've read alot of the post but not all, forgive if this has already been asked...

Topic of mining: What will you do with the 'unknown' finds, now that the auto claim factor is in place?

(It kinda hinders the fun factor of mining when they're gotten...I liked the way it was before when you had to go claim to find the size)
