Known about this for a little while now. Some interesting debates on this somewhere else! Its a shame MA dont have more than 1 speaker, but glad to hear that there is not only 1 rep of MA at the conference.

Well I can tell you he's not an evangelist I think...at least not in the religious sense?

1. a Protestant minister or layperson who serves as an itinerant or special preacher, esp. a revivalist.
2. a preacher of the gospel.
3. (initial capital letter) any of the writers (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) of the four Gospels.
4. (in the primitive church) a person who first brought the gospel to a city or region.
5. (initial capital letter) Mormon Church. a patriarch.
6. a person marked by evangelical enthusiasm for or support of any cause.

AFAIK John Bates works for the Terpin Communications Group.

Terpin are the guys responsible for MA's pr in the US and for their press releases.

It seems John Bates has just been elevated to the status of evangelist

about fucking time ma. +rep to you for getting serious about your game in the us.

any notion as to whether this will also be open to participants? i'll ask off work for the conference today. anyone else interested in pursuing a large meetup in the apple to coincide with this conference. i'm only 12 hours south of the apple, and we can get really cheap flights up and down to cnd, er... i mean nyc from charlotte.

as a depositer, and no, not one of those 20 bucks a month guys, certainly this conference will be open to those of us that are interested in making larger commitments to mind ark if mind ark takes the right steps to market there game here past beta players and cnd noobs. but tbh, i'm a bit more than 500 short of being a fortune 500 maven.

entropia has been my religion now for going on 1 year and a half. i'd love to meet this evangelist. will lootius be there too :P

I find it quite funny that MA are travelling in the real world to New York to have a conference about Virtual Worlds.

I would have thought having a conference running through CND would have been a good move, by bringing all these people into an environment that relates to what MA do for a living, instead of the real world, which is what the fortune 500 companies are more interested in.

All sounds good, just wondering when the first conference in game will really happen?
