Implement Loan option in Trade Window

Put item into LOAN window to lend Item X to Y
Put amount agreed into Trade window for loan
Select Date for Time of Loan
For duration of Loan that item is marked so that it cannot be traded or sold.
Upon expiry date item is returned to owner

Everyone would love this

I guess MA could add an "Admin" fee for this in the Window that is payable by the person requiring the item loan or the person loaning the item (one has to pay)

This would allow for the loaning of any item, including land areas, estates, and hangars.

Marcus Callendar would probably also be able to shift his load of apartments pretty damn fast

It would also seriously boost the "trading" Economy within Entropia

How so very cool!

Easy solution "bertha"

Put a damn time limit on the items that you lend to someone. After the time limit has expired the items are returned to the owner. Loaned items can not be transfered to anyoneelse, dropped, or sold.

I think a lending or even a sharing system should be introduced .. i have met several couples(married) playing entropia and a sharing system would be great in such cases at least for aprtments and estates it is a pain to have to give everything to my better half to place in the apartment

Co-ownership would boost sales of estates and other big ped investments and make them accessible to wider playerbase.
That in turn would work against monopolies and keep the economy healthy instead of ubernubs buying everything :p.

I dont really see a lending system as sollution to the root problem here, not very realistic to use it either, if this is supposed to be a virtual reality. On the other hand I dont see any sign of reality in standing 25 cm away from a big mob with ur gun aimed in middle of it and still missing three times in a row...

But as said, I dont see a lending system as the solution to this. Instead it would be nice to get some law inside of entropia guaranteeing players assets. Not sure how it would be done but its a disgrace atm Imo and well it can only get better.

The root problem is that u cant prove u own something in this world if u dont have it on ur avatar and thats WEIRD.

I dont walk around with all my assets, contracts, money in real life. Still I know its mine and I can prove it. Is it really that hard to make soem type of receipt of ownersship document ingame.

That way a lending sytem wouldnt be needed cause u would be able to keep control of ur items on the paper but still let other use it. This could be done for certain items u mark and the reciept could be showns as a info window on the item similar to the (m) (pc) etc thingsies

Well. hmm nope Im done I think

Ohh yes, for now this is a good reminder to not borrow out items to ppl u dont trust^^

You really want 600odd receipts cluttering up your inventory for every item you own? That's not feasible. The lending system is.

the bank system is the reason why MA will never implelment p to p loan system.



not because they want to protect teh bank system, but , because the bank system will make money. with secure p to p laons, all uber items become revenue gererating items. if you think uber gear is exensive now, think how exensive it will be when the resellers dont have to resell it to make a profit. they will just loan the item at a price.

reinvest your profits from loaning items into buying more ber gear, and pretty soon, all the good gear is owned buy a few pls who rent them out for profit.

You say Buy it, but some things just aren't available for purchase and a great many more items aren't available for purchase at a reasonable price.
MA wants to bring RL business into the game? In RL I can got to the store and rent a tool for a day and not have to buy it.

Make money by sweating Right, we should all be overjoyed that MA gives away $1-$2 a day for hours and hours of sweating.
The sweaters make money by selling the sweat to other players. It's the people using MF that allow people to make money sweating. The TT value of sweat is so low that it's insignificant.

Yes, but this universe isn't governed by the laws of physics, but those of Physx(TM).

Besides, getting killed a bizzilion times a day in order to magically rematerialize elsewhere... with all your stuff... is realistic?
