I cannot vouch for every single bank in the whole world on how their technical system and communication protocols works. It is possible some bank has some sort of faulty flag set somewhere, I don't know. I know it has happened before but it usually is sorted out once located. I have checked the MA statistics on Credit Card usage and haven't seen any irregularities concerning MC deposits.

Do some people experience problems using Mastercard-associated cards for Entropia deposits. Probably, else they would not state it (if they aren't troublemakers or instigators, but I doubt it). Is it "the end of the world" - no from where I am standing.

I have to think that no one here thinks anyone at Mindark must be experts on every bank or every credit card situation.

However, I think most of us expect MIndark to address issues of concern that affect the community or at least a large portion of the community.

At least 2 threads have been created to explore the situation:

MasterCard says Entropia is on their Gaming List
Credit Card Companys that allow/disallow EU deposits.

The second one is a thread where members of the community are working together to figure out which banks are having the issue. Gratz to them for trying to work through the problem.

It would have been nice to hear something from Mindark along the lines of, 'We have received support cases saying that some are having difficulties depositing with Mastercard. It seems that some banks have Entropia Universe on a list of gambling sites. This has been an issue before and we will make an attempt to contact those banks in an effort to clear up the issue.'

But that's isn't what we got.

At least now we know. This has been a problem in the past. It shouldn't be the end of the world.

The "Card Flagging" has happened in the past (actually many,many years ago), both with Visa and Mastercard (I have both) and its normally related to the banks policy as they are trying to protect your account against scammers.

All you need to do is call the bank and tell them to "KNOCK IT THE F***k OFF!!!" like I did.

Seriously,just call your banking institution. They can't tell you how to spend your money and legislation in the US hasn't been passed concerning online "Games" and the income it "may" generate.

Its not end of world for you where you stand , but its end of your world for player where they stand.
If they can not use their card to deposit , they will probably stop to play ,wich mean , end of of world from where they stand.

Also , i dont think noone here ask a lesson of comunication protocol in bank , but for sure , evryone would be happy to have som clear information from your side , and not a shady meaningless statement.

Is it so hard to admit that bank compagnie assimile EU as casino , and you are working on that issue ?

Not make a fair and honest statement make the issue more fichy on your side , and , those that where wondering on "is EU casino or not" are guetting the idea now , and not the best for you....

Mastercard , is maybe one of the first to have that kind of list now , but , who know , with new american law , probably in future , card compagnie will work together to make 1 big list....and probably , not the best list for you to be in.

I don't think you are being fair here--1st off IF EU was considered a gambling site than NO American would be playing it right now, including me--the law has passed and the gambling site list went out--Guess what--NO Entropia listed. Could that change? sure but right now it is not the case--these issues are not related to that in anyway they are the result of personal banks looking out for there customers--as posted above--contact your bank and they will correct the issue--Marco was simply posting a MASTERCARD known issue--that issue affected all mastercard users worldwide-not specific people at specific banks. I understand your flustration with the small amount of information that DOES get posted however it's very hard to post what you don't know and it is better to wait a little while than to give incorrect information out.

And again I have a copy of Mastercards banned internet gambling sites/companies and Entropia-Mindark is NOT on it!(as earlier posted in this thread) It is not on the national list either--as far as the legislation in the US is concerned at this point Entropia is NOT a gambling site-it is a gaming site considered "Pay as you go"
