Look back in time a bit and see who the LAST provider was... and you'll see that the provider is a very important factor in deciding whether to get a card or not...

...and... If it is the german bank that won the auction, it sort of opens the door to a "back room deals" discussion....

Non transparency is not a good thing when real money is in the mix...

na, just curiosity really. as SB2 says above i wanna know that they are not at all affiliated with the ppl who got the ingame banks, that would be a obvious conflict of interests, and before i make a decision on whether i wanna use a card i wanna know who i am dealing with. Any problems that occur will not be dealt with by MA, its not thier card, so they will be passed onto the provider.. and some are much better at customer service than others. A established company would offer less risk, and i prefer to minimise my risk when i pass my hard earned cashj to a company that seems nameless atm :p

from a tax point of view i am interested to know what country they are based in, and also i am curious to know if this card could be a potential solution for some of the USA peeps who now have problems depositing (only if its a non-US card i guess)

dont get me wrong, its great news that the card has finaly sorted out, but i am not going to blindly jump at it and get all excited until i know more details

As far as I know it's the Commerzbank, Frankfurt (www.commerzbank.de) in germany. They are pretty established here, try to get more private customers - but a candidate for being bought by some other international bank.

More information: "The card, which will be sold at European retail outlets, contains a scratch-and-reveal Personal Identification Number, which gamers use to transfer funds into the game."

Maybe Marco can confirm that.

• a credit-card (which would involve a credit application and verification)

• a prepaid credit-card (which normally does not require a credit-check)

Expect implementation by VU 32.7. I suspect that MA will be swamped with Chinese support for a long time since that's where they think their Yen.. Errr... Dollars... Errr... PEDs are coming from.

Sad to see this unique feature languishing for so long. It amazes me that MA still has the balls to claim this as a feature since it's been ages in software product terms that it stopped working.
