the biggest change will also be the in game physx. This has been a major issue with new and upcoming games. AGEIA's PhysX card option has had too many letdown even though it produces some extreme detailed real time PhysX.

cant find the videos i was looking for

the cryengine is software based so there for does not need a PhysX cards but does need a good pc to run it.

in game PhysX willl change every aspect of the game, mining and hunting will change and should become more interesting in terms of the damage you could create in an area.

if this is the case then EU land areas will be constantly changing.

not sure where they will go with crafting.

So I think that the "process that has taken almost a year to prepare" includes a huge part of the process of remodelling everything that is already ingame to make it CryEngine ready, and that the wallpaper that has been on the EU site was/and still is a teaser of what we can expect EU to look like mid 2008.

Unfortunately AI system is server side and is developed by Mindark itself.
Graphics on client-side is just calculated output from positions and other data. In a perfect world it should be no problem to switch that subsystem from Gamebryo to CryEngine. But there are always issues.
