The VU 9.0 is a graphics engine update, likely a patch for the old gamebryo engine.

What fantastic news.

As well as making Calypso look even more amazing and pretty, the capabilities of this graphics engine might also allow for new directions in tailoring, beautician, colouring, etc, so there could actually be many ongoing benefits.

Even though the new engine might not appear ingame for some time yet, I am really excited about how EU will look in the future. With the recent new server location, and now planning a new engine - this is the MA I hope to see more of in the future, taking such positive steps to keep EU as THE online gaming place to be in 2007 and beyond.

After looking those demos, I gotta say they are the best 3D graphics I have seen in a game ever. It looks much more realistic then the newest Gamebryo engine. And it also seems to include a very advanced physics engine. Wonder what will happen with the Ageia engine.

I think this is a very good choise by MA. Lets hope they make the best of it .
