Shop keeper items have a bug too now...
If you want to add a new item and need to rearrange the places the items to make room - you now have to remove items and then replace them again and obviously reprice them. Before all you did was move the item slightly to the left or move it where you wanted too. Basically - when you drop an item into it - it wont move - imagin what your inventary would be like if you couldnt move items around at all. Yes its a small point, but add's to my frustration.... I'll post a support email. Grr Moonfish |

One way I see footguards, it that it's a concealed way of saying to the players "At next VU, we will take all your helmets and face guards, but don't worry, during this VU you can still use your existing, but don't forget to search for new". My theory, is that MA does this to give crafters more work to do. However, as they now like (L) armor and (L) BPs, it will take longer time to make an adequate number of unlimited footguards for the commonly used armors out there (like ghost). Also, while we've had say 4 years or so to fill the "market" with looted armor parts, there will also be a lack of looted armour parts. Even if MA makes looted footguards drop faster in the beginning, there will probably still be a shortage, because people with say ghost, wanting to have a repairable footguard with stats compatible with the armor, will fight with boar owners over boar footguards (for instance). If a ghost-owner loots a better footguard, "risk" is that they keep the footguard, to be able to continue hunting, at least until ghost footguard reaches the market. What if MA starts mass-dropping footguards and footguard BPs? Well, then they have acheived nothing. Except forcing players to wear another item. What is the risk with implementing footguards? The risk is that players who, when 9.1 is launched, still lacks decent footguards find it much harder to get into situations where two big troxes or neconu attack at same time, and relatively often (together say one hit out of five) will make hits that you have to start fapping for life, and meanwhile the armor will decay of course. Those players, like me who use armor to hunt mobs that would kill us if we didn't wear armour, are likely to either leave, or reduce the level of activity if we are unable to sustain the equipment to hunt at the level we've always hunted. Another issue is plate price. As long as it's relatively stable it's ok, but if higher plates rush in price, it can make an objective to sell the entire set rather than getting the seventh plate. I'm not quitting yet, since there is no real change until 9.1 is out, I go out hunting with what I got, and what I can get until 9.1 is released. Besides from the practical hunt side, there is also the "fun factor". For us who has more than one armor, and some of them pretty useless, it will now mean that we suddently will have incomplete sets. For the armours I've got, I've been able to aquire pixie footguards. Goblin: Still haven't seen any (for practical use, though expensive at the moment, there are gremlin footguards). Gnome: There neither, but I'd expect it from beacon missions. Valiant: I've seen a global for the (limited) BP, but still no valiant footguards on auction. Bodyguard: Have seen BP for limited footguards, but didn't want to engage in bid-war as for me it's just fun. Haven't seen anything about unlimited footguards. Hunter: I've hunted the most likely mobs to drop them (calas), gotten 11 hair color sets (I've hunted all calas), but no trace of hunter foot guards. Ghost: I've seen one set of footguards on aution. It apparently went for TT+385, in the neighbourhood of what I paid for my entire ghost set when I got it. Crafting: Until version 9.0, I had a complete set of unlimited blueprints for bodyguard armor. It's a crap armor, but I was able to make me a set. Now, since VU 9.0, I lack one BP for it (guess which). For me, this amor was just a fun factor. It has virtually no protection, but it was fun to be able to create a full armor set. Now, even though I still got 6 BPs, since it's no set, it's no fun anymore, and the BPs are virtually worthless. Last edited by aia; 10-12-2007 at 22:20. |

(pc) and in fact any screen that carries video the sound has been turned right down you practically have to be face up to the screen with a hearing aid in to hear anything.
Which isn't cool as i was showing someone for their first time the lectures in the vexed generation building and it's really really quiet! We had to turn our speakers right up so footsteps were booming but the lecture still very quiet? Not good at all. The screens in my apt and everywhere else carrying JamhotTV they're really quiet too? And another thing i've noticed is the payn inc implant inserters don't throw off the light that they used to =/ They were some cheap funky disco strobes but not anymore ![]() They seem insignificant things but they mean a lot to me. Otherwise everything is cool but please fix these things! All the best. Jamhot |

IMO the footguards are not a bad thing but the way MA put them in was horrible. They should have given anyone with one peice of a certain armor footguards to go with it. So if I had vigi arms and Nem everything else I would get Nem and Vigi footguards. If the tt is 0 peds MA loses nothing and sure the value of the footguards markup wise is less, but I don't think anyone would complain about that.

MA wouldn't happen to have rushed this version out due to the chain rattling of Second Life's avatar system recently -- would it?
I mean, that, and Google rumors of avatar creation in GE? Or, how about the fact that Worlds is about to release their next generation system? Come on, guys. I had a great deal of respect for MindArk, being someone who works 'in the area' with simulated environments (but in the real world context of sim) -- but this release exposes some major flaws in the philosophy of the company and engineering staff. When you can't even provide adequate support for mobile chipsets -- there is a distinctly huge problem for someone like me -- who knows very well that you can. You can't hide that kind of excuse. Not when there's someone like me playing the game. |
