GeForce Quadra FX 3500 and it looks stunning on my machine and runs smooth as glass although 4 gig of ram and Core 2 Duo 7650 with 1.3Ghz DDR 3 might have something to do with that heh.

After downloading VU 9.0, I was excited to see what MA had done to my Vain Armor. To my horror and dismay, I looked (to myself on the screen) like I was wearing a very ugly "rubber wetsuit"! Ugh, I was shocked to say the least.

M2S mate Jenna Star Mercury, said it looked awesome from her point of view and couldn't believe that I wasn't seeing the same thing she was. Star voiced concern over my graphics card, maybe it wasn't able to handle the requirements of the new VU. She was right!

So out came the old ATI graphics card, with no Shader and only 128MB and in went the new nvidia GeForce 8500 GT. This card supports Shader 4.0 and has 512MB. WOW, what a change this made, night vs. day.

For myself, this upgrade was well worth the 1,400 ped I had to pay for it.

There are many AGP cards with SM3.0 support - Ati HD2600 pro/xt (SM4) X1950 pro (just SM3, but faster), nvidia 7600GT (SM3)...

huh? No shaders? where did you get that?
