Graphics After 9.0
11 Oct 2007 If you have experienced graphical issues following VU 9.0, please ensure first that your graphics card matches the Minimum Requirements. If your card does not meet the Minimum Requirements, try reducing all graphical options in the Login Window Options panel. You may also lower the Avatar and Terrain Quality sliders in the In-World Options panel (default key 'O'). For the best effect of the graphical improvements of VU 9.0, MindArk recommend that participants' graphics cards have Pixel Shader 3.0 and meet the Minimum System Requirements Originally Posted Here |

Well... the Pixel Shader 3.0 or higher is a must. Not even with Pixel Shader 2.0 you are close to the details and shading of 3.0. It looks like big cartoons. But I must give some cred for the graphic update tho... it was DAMN nice and needed.

The "click here to check how well tuned" thing may need tuning itself. It doesn't like my graphics drivers for either my XP or Vista machines, but I have updated both to the latest Nvidia Forceware today.

My Ghost Armor looks like its a piece of paper where the pieces are drawn on it, it used to look better, also with other armors that i saw, its more flat now.

Like all software EU needs to be upgraded over time or it will be left behind to the competition - so the upgrade was certainly needed and does look awesome when the graphics card can handle it.
See this pic below of Mags in Supremacy - it shows how good the armour looks if your computer is representing the graphics to it's full potential.  |
