Well m8, David did say to us at the LA convention that they would be having different ambassadors at the LV convention, at least that is what he told me. Did you hear otherwise?

In any event, I'll be there but only for a few hours to check out the booth and say hi to some friends

Yea but they are staples in the games make up for publicity.

I did not read this whole thread but basically my question is: What does the Ambassador get out of this deal? Right now, looking at my Avatar's PED card, MA has not done much to help me in the past. I am sure the majority of all players are like me in this respect. Why would I want to be an Ambassador for MA in the Las Vegas convention? I already have free flight benefits through my wife's employment.

Does MA pay you for your participation at the convention? Do you get free plastic toys there? Whats the drawl?

Maybe it's so you can meet the people that stick it to you every VU and inbetween face to face.

Someone tell me why you should beg MA to be an Ambassador?

What you get out of being an ambassador? A great trip where you get to meet lots of great people and have tons of fun along the way! That's more then enough for me.

I would love to know if MA will give you total freedom to say what ever you want about the game. If I were an Ambassador (never gonna happen after these posts), I would want to be honest and upfront with all the people at the convention and tell them that this game is very very similar to a Casino. In some cases, the odds are much worse! I would inform them that the game is very addictive and that you WILL (LET ME STRESS WILL) lose all your money in this game. I would tell them that based on my experience, all professions are a losing proposition except for reselling (boring and not a good idea if you want to make friends). So on and so on. This is the truth!!!!!! Mind Ark will not let you say this stuff as an Ambassador!!!!!!

So let me ask you again, why would you want to be an Ambassador at the convention.

Are you people really that hard up for a good time? If Ambassadors get nothing for their time to represent Mind Ark at the convention, then this is IMHO a raw deal just like many of the professions in the game. Anyone doing this job and knowing this information upfront either has the most boring life in the world, or has absolutely no moral principles, or has one hell of a hardcore addiction for this game.

To check out some of the other vendors at the convention, meet some EU people in the flesh ( ava behavior hardly ever matches RL behavior so its fun to see how people compair to themselves ), Get out of the rain in WA state for a bit, visit a few friends in Vegas, meet the MA staff and hear about their perspectives on different aspects of the game first hand, help talk to people about the game thus increasing our player base. There are countless reasons to go.
