Ok, seriously for a second, my understanding is that it makes no odds. The same number of shares would exist as there are now, the only difference is they would be sold off to the public and dividends would be paid on those if the company is profitable... I am pretty sure dividends would have already been paid to the current shared holders and additional profits (company owned shares) would have been invested back into the business in its current format.

The big difference of course is that now the company would be answerable to its sharholders, who will expect bigger profits and therefore higher divendeds each year. Initially that wouldnt be a major concern, as the company will generate a huge influx of cash by the initial share issue. This means there will have a lot of cash to throw around for things like advertising and aquiring assets (and business partners for streamlining )etc, which in turn should see a healthy increase in sign up and a lowering of costs.

i would bet on a record breaking Sale of factories or something (banks, TI, CND etc etc) about 1 or 2 months prior to the share floatation and possible a record breaking ATH too, just to ensure there is a massive influx of players prior to the launch so they can quote massive sign up growth prior to the launch.

(its what i would do)

Obviously, I dont know a huge amount about this sort of thing, so forgive me if I got any theories wrong!

No but they could sell their shares and which point the share value may decrease making it harder for MA show that it has a viable business model and harder to raise funds.

Remember, MA has no physical goods to sell it is all software and unless China is online very soon we are the only asset MA has to show. If enough people left or stopped depositing MA's martket value may decrease, a software company is only of value if its software is used.

It may be worth buying just 1 share though, it should give us the right to attend any AGM's.

Cool One hope

" MindArk intends to use the proceeds from the newly issued shares to implement its growth strategy, in particular the expansion of its market position and pursuit of potential acquisition opportunities. "

I guess we all hope that the growth strategy includes getting current systems improved (or simply made workable) to the point where things are stable and with any luck able to support a large-scale event without a server crash.

But other than that, a stock exchange listing may well spell good news for getting stuff done. Something to hope for, anyway.

I wonder if people that have extensive holdings in EU such as ND and other Bank owners will be barred from holding EU stocks.

The thing is We first shareholders, put money in mindark and we call it
the closed market.. we wait some time.. this case 2 years, + 2-4 months for the progress. and finally it's on the open market then puplic can buy the shares that means they buy our old shares. and our meaning the lucky 900 hope this helps
