I'm just happy I recently got a new graphic card due to <<another game>> - so before people starts whining, let's be fair and say, that graphic cards and graphics in ALL kind of games luckily chances! So keeping yourself updated with your equipment is not that bad of a thing!

It's a well known fact that software (especially game) devs have conspired with hardware devs so that every year, 2 years max one has to completely rebuild the computer to be able to do anything other than type documents.
However, it would be realy handy to know what are the cards that are considered "old" now (not talking about relics like TNT2 or GF4MX) and will become "old" soon by MA's standards |

Be sure to consider the following aspects when going for an upgrade:
GFX wise, there are 2 main roads to go: ATi or Nvidia: Crossfire Or SLI SLI and Crossfire are kinda the same thing, but different technology. It allows for 2 cards to be used at the same time for maximum performance. If you want to go SLI, you need a SLI RDY system, be sure to check SLI Zone for more details. More info on Ati Crossfire here: ATI CrossFire - Wikipedia And on SLI here: Scalable Link Interface - Wikipedia It all depends on what kind of setup and hardware you prefer... |

IMHO SLI/Crossfire= Huge Waste of PED. Best scam ever pulled off by the graphics card makers to convince you to buy not just one over priced card but two.
Save your PED and use it for something with a better potential return instead. Like buying me a new fur coat. ![]() |
