Btw, the word xfire was banned from EF due to that security flaw that have now been fixed.

I have uncensored the word now, if we are going to allow those xfire signatures is up to 711 to decide.

Xfire is used by many gamers, young and old, smart and retarded.
There are many 12 year old cssers sure, but there will undoubtly be plenty of people who will find EU a nice game.
And for existing entropia players, download xfire and add your soc members!

This is some good publicity, now just hope the servers will be able to handle +2 newbies a day .

In fact, EU is turning into some Second life, the sims alike thing to "drag players" i think.

As Mindbuster explained, the term XFire was censored on EF to prevent the use of XFire signatures on EF, after the issue relating to usernames and passwords being released during a crash was reported. The term has now been removed from the list of censored terms (it would be silly to keep it censored now that Mindark is doing a partnership and promotions with XFire).

Xfire signatures will be allowed on EntropiaForum, however the forum rule regarding signature sizes still applies:

Basically, but i also tracks some stats about the games you play, and allows you to use it while ingame, aka no alt-tabing to talk to your friends that are not playing.

Talking about the stats, generally it resumes to the time you have played the game, but there are other games with some tracking of kills, deaths, etc.

You can also use it to overcome the Friend List limit. (there is also a limit on Xfire's fl but it is a lot bigger than EU's)

You can also see what game you friends are playing and for the games that support it you can join the same game server you friend is playing in with just one click.

I was surprised after the long time and posts at the Xfire forums, it took for it to support EU, that it was one of the first games to receive support to the new Xfire In-Game 2.0.

Xfire also has Voice chat support, server browsing (for the games which that applies).

And other features. It is an IM software geared towards gamers.

I actually used Xfire back when the guys at work had a BF2 clan and I occasionally joined in when there were lots of them on at the same time, but stopped using it simply because it didn't work when EU was on, meaning that if someone from work tried to message me I didn't notice it until I logged out.

May start using it again now this has happened though. There's a few friends from my last place of work that I almost lost contact with altogether due to EU not being compatible.

Now first all respect to the little handful of adult players, which EU'ers are, that actually found a use for Xfire, but Xfire users are mostly 15-17 year olds who uses it to brag about they got no real life, "look how many hours i've played" type of counterstrikers, EU EULA say's 18+ years.

Maybe it's time for a roadmap telling us older players what MindArks plan is with EU, first all the avatar changes to look young and smart, now targetting sub18 year olds.

Where is EU going exactly ?

I assume it's going to china where they want something more like another game we aren't allowed to talk about that begins with S ..that loading screen was once a thing of artful beauty and spoke volumes about what EU was about.....look at what it says now though...looks like any generic game and not at all edgy anymore, more of a cartoon feel now.

I just hope they leave the mobs alone. I don't fancy being critted by Pikachu.
