All you people whining about make-up and textures, please try having some perspective.

OK, so the new stuff in this VU may not be what you were waiting for. It's an ADDITION to the game, and doesn't take away from anything else.

In case you hadn't noticed, make-up drops and texture enhancers come from mobs, giving hunters a new item with markup to loot. The new textures have given crafters an entirely new sub-profession, as well as a completely new profession for everyone. Miners also benefit since, because of textures, there is now a new use for every single ore in the game.

I am not in the slightest bit interested in putting make-up on my face. I am, however, excited by the possibilities that it creates on a wider level, and I can see that everyone has the potential to benefit.

You just need to look on this forum at recent posts by, for example, Skam and Kitten, to see that a lot of people are very interested in these new developments and have been asking for them. Other people have been asking for other things too, of course, but if the next VU was to have everything that people have been asking for, we'd have to wait until 2012 to get it.

Those of you complaining are, imho, selfish and short-sighted. I can only assume that you play EU because you've discovered that the real world does not revolve around you. Well, guess what, this one doesn't either. Grow up, open your eyes, and deal with it.

Don't worry, that's the gramatically correct way of saying that he will do his utmost to try and get it implemented. It's sort of like an abreviated statement, whereas the full section of that sentence would be, "ill see if i can or can't get it done, if i can, i will."

Just one of those phrases which people use in shops or businesses around the globe.

It's just one of those odd turns of phrases in English. "I'll see if we can't" really means the same as "I'll see if we can". Kind of hard to explain... I suppose by finding out if you can't do something, you are also finding out at the same time whether you can do it.

Whatever it is, if you replace the "can't" for "can", it still means the same

All of this seems to be planed in the MA roadmap buisness plan. Well, the feature about makeup, texture and all is a good thing as well cause it bring a new dimention and new things to dicover for crafter first, hunter and miners.
But, lol, i never laughed that much as yesterday night, when i went back to home. I connect the pc, 15 seconds download update and pop :

Damn, for me, thats a pure and violent commercial incitation, made exclusively to drive ppl head on "guilty mode". I dunno who, at MA, take the decisions to bring us those archaik tactics who are rougly : "if u dont do it, u are not longer in the plan, u are not longer fashion, u are not cool".

And the better thing was after i didnt accept. I had the bigest punishement of my PE game play : EU EMO LOGIN START SCREEN.
I have nothing against EmO dudes but this screen is far away to represent what is EU lol. "Hey dude ! wanna kill some hogs whith us ? Ok im comming ... Heu, no, sorry, i forgot my cammo lipstick ...".

I also dislike new login screen, can't we get something that show a little more aspects of EU than only fashion/makeUp? Some Mob, one Guy with armor/guns , a miner at a claim ...

This VU they market themself for the makeup, make a smartguy/girl lineup with facial markup

Last VU (If they had the logo change correctly implanted), it would have been a picture of MindArk personal kicking the general avatar in the face with a footguard armor.

Next VU it might be some mining addition or the taming thats made on, and there it might be a miner that gets his balls blown up because of no groin guard, or an pet that accidental stabs its owner in the ass for no groin guard...

I suggest we just vote for the biggest whiner, and then get MA to use an image of that person made up to look like the muppet they are, with loads of actual players laughing at them. And underneath something along the lines of "This is one of many people that think they are wonderful and know everything that it takes to make an RCE MMORPG. But Entropia Universe is so good they just can't stop playing long enough to go off and make their own version!"
