Btw high level players who can use a svempa XT amp it with a dante and u do a dam sec thats quite abit higher then the amped MM.

With a Emik X5 u can do 115 dam sec, Which in reality is about as high as the mm these days...

Depends how many thousands, 100k+ exas in 66hours is theoretically possible but it's just too hard to coordinate a team to get you close to the shooting speed you get from trox hearding.

First of huge gratz to the winners here and excellent team work all round.

I wish I had been able to take part throughout the 11 days. I somehow doubt I would have stayed under the 6 hour limit though

A good while ago, (will try and fire up my old system to get an accurate date), there was a bit of a Robot Invasion south of Cape Corinth. Now being a low level player and in a Soc of low level players we teamed up and went to join in the mayhem.

We arrived to see swarms of bots and swarms of Ubers making a mess all over the plains to the south there. Uber after Uber bashed their heads against Big Bulks and Warlocks and we nipped at the edges dying several times and wearing out our newly discovered/purchased Lesser TP chips.

Well surprise surprise a team of n00bs took down a SEG and looted ourselves Supremacy Harness and a Medium TP iirc. We finished that event with the biggest TT loot and probably the biggest markup loot. We didn't get that by sitting on the sidelines wringing our hands moaning that the world isn't fair and shouting only Ubers could ever win.

I'm not sure whether it's because the real cash economy here brings out a bit of avarice in us all; or infact a lot of people here are Emo whiners, but both here and in life you get a hell of a lot more if you actually have a go.

Now I admit, maybe MA could have waited until they were in a position to be able to show the final "scores on the doors" for the top 10. But I guarantee that at 2 minutes past 1800 MA time there would be some whining conspiracy theorist screaming at the top of their lungs that MA refuse to release the winners names because the wrong person had won and they needed time to re-arrange the logs.

Anyway, I apologise for going on a bit but all the whining and "we'll see what the pre-float investigation" mumblings got my back up.... I'm off for a rub down and pint of Tequila before a quick nap and more quality EU time while I have some time off work

To me, it seemed obvious that the ones who won were going to be amongst the best players in-game... and by best players, yes, I mean UBERS. You say someone killing thousands of exa a day should have got into the top 3.... on what basis? Hundreds took part, you really think out of the dozens of highly-equipped avatars, some chancer's gonna take an LA by playing hunter? No. It might have happened, would have been nice if it did; but those UBERS you despise are actually quite good at this.... that's why they're called UBER. They are the best in the game. Period. I'm not talking about those with 91hp and full shadow, I'm talking about those who have spent thousands of hours and dollars to get where they are. Sound like you? No, you're just a jealous loser who needs to get a grip.

Oh, the fact that Atrox run at you from miles away while Exas tend to hang about grazing and farting might imply to me that Exa ain't the best way to win in a comp that involves maximum kills.

LOL your use of the word "Uber Fanboi" is strange... do you call followers of top-ranking sports teams the same? I mean, Man United are all Ubers at their game; but no-one expects Swindon Town to beat them!!!!

Maybe if you take your head out your conspiracy-theorist arse and got a life, you'd view the winners with a bit more respect instead of moaning like some paranoid fool. I'm guessing as you hate Ubers so much you choose not to skill or improve your avatar at all.... because sorry mate, if you don't leave it alone, you're gonna be one of the people you despise in a year or 5

Not if those in the top three were killing thousands of Atrox, which were worth 3 times as many points.

I doubt that anyone who hunted Exarosuars exclusively were even in the top 10.

You seem to have a poor understanding of how fast someone using a weapon with 120+ damage/second can kill Atrox youngs, especially if they have a support team feeding herds of mobs for the full 66 hours. Not only those who finished in the top 3 used this strategy, but also people like Da and others, who didn't place.

It was clear to any moderately knowledgable hunter that this was by far the superior strategy if one wanted a realistic chance of winning this event. Hunting Mulaak'f or Exarosaur was never a viable option for a serious competitor; Mulaak'f because the point/killspeed ratio is much too low (along with the issues of PVP4), Exarosaur because they die so quickly (and award 1/3 the points of Atrox), that it is very difficult to shoot non-stop for the entire 66 hours.

Just to drag this from page 11. This is basically what I wanted to say, but no point saying it all again.

Grats to all that participated, I only have the WoF as an indication of the intensity needed to hunt at this level, and those hunts only lasted 3 hours and I got a break of a week or two between them... Its not for the faint hearted or disorganised.

The judges decision is final. - Skill up, get better, organise teams and be prepared for the next event.
