This is probably due to the fact it was planet-wide, i.e. not several dozen guys in the same spawn like the eomon etc. More planet-wide events!

A bit dissapointing for all less-uber participants I guess, but as I said ... it takes a hell of devotion to complete such an event.

Biggest guns and skills....biggest bankroll in fact, wins. It wouldn't have been as clear cut if Ma had opted for a halfway point between 24 hrs and 6 hrs per day though, something like 12 hrs max would have let in more people with a chance.
Pure hard grinding work would have counted much more.

If you can't beat'em in 6 hours grinding session how could you beat'em in 12 or 24 hour grinding session?

These complaints seem quite inaccurate and misplaced if one reviews the recent events MA has run:

EBN: Associate Relations (July 2007)- Crater event with eomon, big merps, armax, exarosaurs, snargs etc. Many of the mobs (including the smaller Eomon) were easily hunted by mid-level hunters and teams, and many nice items were looted. An event where players of all levels were able to take part.
The Eomon migration from the previous year was much the same, with mobs and maturities for hunters of all skill levels.

EBN: The Animal Kingdom (July 2007)- Included all sizes of mobs such as Miner Bots (easily killed by fairly low level hunters), RX units that dropped the new rocket launchers on the ground (most of which were not looted by "ubers").

EBN: The March on Fury (Feb 2007)- Feffoid event open to EVERYONE in EntropiaUniverse, in which the Atrox Egg was looted by a mid-level avatar, and sold for 100,000 PEDs. The avatar who looted the egg certainly killed many fewer Feffoids than many of the other participants (including the evil "ubers" with very fast killspeeds), but there were few complaints seen by those who spent more ammo, killed more Feffoids, and were more dedicated to the event.

EBN: Robot Mobilization (March 2006)- Massive robot attacks at various cities over several weeks. Rare secret robot transmitters were looted, later traded for very valuble Protector of the Empire armor sets. Several of the transmitters were looted by "non-ubers", and the event was open to participants of pretty much all skill levels.

Also, announced on the same day as the Merry Mayhem event, are a series of 30-minute single highest loot events: Entropia CES Events, which include some very nice prizes, such as Jaguar Footguards M&F, full TT Eraktor Impact grenade launcher, rare minerals (gold, platinum, rugaritz, etc.), and a full TT AS 147. The format of these events (highest single loot) makes it very possible for mid and low level hunters to win the prizes.

Also, don't forget the ongoing Note and Orb events, which have included new unique Argonauts (killable by mid-level hunters and teams of even fairly low level hunters).

MA also donated prizes to the 2007 WOF event (a participant-created event), in which hundreds of players of a wide range of skill levels participated (including members of the winning team, Team USA).

So tell me, where is this evidence that "MA always makes "evil-uber-only" events waaaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaaa life isn't fair, MA sucks, waaaaaa waaaaa" ??

In fact, aside from the Merry Mayhem event, show me one event in which "ubers" had an overwhelming advantage, or which excluded players of lower skill levels?

EBN: Associate Relations Crater event
Where there but with ~140 HP Ghost and 5B you could enter the crater but you would have been soon either killed or KS'ed on any mob you tried solo from someone in team or with ueber gun, most of the time after beeing killed by a Mob who aggroed you even when the mob was shot by another one. So when you returned the mob you started on was 100% surely not alive anymore and gone.


EBN: The Animal Kingdom
Maybe a Event but no prices from MA - you cant say the dropped launchers where prices... Was the Introduction of this new weapons, best you can say it was Advertisement and not a Event with prices for first, second, third.


EBN: The March on Fury
Until now MA's Price for this event is a Egg without any value other than its TT what will come out of it who knows, do you think if someone would not have payed 100K MA would have waited so long to give something to the egg holder? Robot Transmitters who where won in Event where also exchanged in a reasonable time frame. BTW this Event was in Summer 2006 or how could Neverdie buy it in July 2006 otherwise?

Eomon migration was in 2007 so maybe you only mixed that up with the Egg event...

Have to agree Eomons where killable by midlevel hunters in team... But lag and amount of hunters there made it a crazy thing with lagged mobs etc. Also the Armax spawn was many times nearly unplayable... But it was a event for all but not a Event where MA gave prices for first, second or third so I do not know why you mix this in with prices events from MA, was like another mob who can drop loot.

EBN: Robot Mobilization
Here you are right, nearly everyone was capable to kill drones and had a chance for one of those transmitters...

Also, announced on the same day as the Merry Mayhem event, are a series of 30-minute single highest loot events: Entropia CES Events
Yes everyone has a chance to get the highest loot, but as gambeling and lottery's are regulated by swedish law somehow this cant be a event based on luck, I think it is along the line the more mobs you kill the bigger is your chance to winn the price as every mob has the chance to be the one with the biggest single loot. Same as if you buy 1 lottery ticket and anotherone 1000 tickets, when there where 20000 tickets issued the one with one ticket would hace a 1/20000 chance to get it the one with 1000 tickets a 1/20 chance to win it. Still wondering why this kind of events are allowed when gambeling or lottery is not allowed in Sweden


So how many MA made events with chances for midlevel hunters left?

That's bad hunting, not MA. We went up with a team of 6 and easily got an Eomon over the crater rim and away from the ubers, as there were dozens of them.

I'm sure if you looted something that someone would give you thousands of $'s for you'd consider this a decent return on entering an event.

A mob listed as an "Event Mob". It's all in the name.

LOL what sort of event would please you? The sort with no luck, skill or preparation involved? I'm not sure what that would be. Maybe if they dropped stuff on the ground... no, that's luck. And it's been done. Maybe if they made the mobs turn up at random apartments and shit loot all over your floor... no, that's unfair to those who don't own an apartment.

I think the main thing you don't like is that you haven't won anything.

Oh, and this comp was to find the "best hunter" not the luckiest.
If you don't think you're the best hunter in the game, no need to enter. If you do, step up. That's it.... why anyone has a problem with this is beyond me.
