There have to be some sort of gateways... I doubt a company investing in a new planet would accept the current pilot system as the only way to get there.

Well they say new planets can be like entirely new games or worlds. So I think the rest of Amthera + third continent will be more "old school Entropia" when those bits are finally released by Mindark (and not some third party developer).

I think they won`t have a choice. As their planet will develop separately from Calypso and they are buying some sort of Entropia license/ franchise, their main goal would be to attract players in "their game". Might even be another website for this planet/game. So new avatars will be able to be born there on this planet when they make new avi, if they make account via their website, same way as new avis who make account on CND website are born there.

If it will be two separate game like you saying then there is no point for us in this planet. I think there will be some sort of gateway and the currency for new planet will be the same as well as all items from Calypso will work on new planet.
