What this actually does is sign you up to the xfire news letter. Theres probably some degree of advertising in said news letter which is probably how xfire make some of their income... some of which I imagine will be used to fund those raffle prizes...

Originally I didn't sign up for the letter when I got an xfire account cause I didn't want to but I guess the event will be announced via the newsletter so no choice....

Just felt you should all know this since they neglect to mention it. On the plus side you DO have to confirm via email and this actually tells you what you are really signing up for

One small phrase, bigger implications and problems.

Frank, I think I, and most of the EF users browsing this thread, would like to know how participants are being selected. Having hundreds, if not thousands, of users signing up, just to see a few dozen get selected, would most likely create some negative sentiments among those left out.

(I'm not trying to be overly negative, but honestly, this has the potential to create a lot of resentment in the community.)

What about how many users will be selected? What format will the chat take? I can't imagine it just being a "free for all" where anybody can ask anything they want.
