Participants unsatifisfied with their avatar looks following the VU 9.2 fix have the option to go through the avatar creation process once more.

Please note that this will be a total makeover. All previous changes will be lost. In order to avail of this offer, please submit a support request using the 'Beauty' category before 2008.02.20.

well...

one the one hand, they warn us that the impending VU may alter avatar looks, but also alow for a remake (free of plastic surgery charges); of course, said remake wipes out your make-up and such...

1) nice to see a heads-up, thanks guys!
2) nice to see forewarning about the make-up thing (not that i have any lip gloss )
3) overall sounds pretty balanced and fair. good job on implemtation and player notification from where i sit.

... now about those footguards....

Those who want to need to submit a support case is the way I read it.

Those who want to change their avatar looks because they look weird after this VU should contact support and ask them to reset the avatar appearance. Those who are happy (like me) don't have to do anything.

Since makeup basically is an item (a mask) it won't be affected. Special hairstyles will be lost though (as I understand it).
