Nerve Blast Chips Bugged

I'm getting old and my memory isnt quite as good as it used to be so please excuse me if I posted this question before but:

Is there a bug with NB chips? I seem to recall someone telling me that there was and that after a certain skill point, there are no improvements to max dmg and range etc.. on chips.

I've been carrying on regardless, mainly using a medium NB chip for skilling but havent seen any of the chip stats change for over a year - I unlocked Power Catalyst during this time so I have been pretty busy. I logged a support case but MA said they were not aware of any issues.

Is anyone else aware of this?
Am I mad for skilling MF??
Am I losing it and have I posted this for the 4th time or something???
What is going on with my tax returns????

With the NBIII chip, you start out with max damage, so that will never increase. At lvl 20 hit and 19 damage, my stats with the NBIII are just what should be expected.

Maybe you are refering to the higher chips with SIB. The SIB is different from guns, which max out a few levels above the start of the SIB period. To max those chips, you need LVL 100 hit and damage. So the min and max damage, and the HA rise very slowly as you skill.

What are your Psychotropy professional levels? What are your stats on the NBIII?

On the Medium chip:

the Range(m)/max is 61.0/66.0
the Hit Ability/max is 1.6/10
the Critical Hit Ability/max is 4.0/10

My stats are:

Psychotropy (Dmg) 20
Psychotropy (Hit) 16

(Psychotropy 2438, Concentration 1085, Power Catalyst 49)

I'd be interested to see the stats of anyone else with this chip - especially anyone who has maxed it.

I guess that from what you are saying this is probably about right?
It just seems like the ratings on the chip take an absolute age to increase.

Yes, they do take forever to increase, just like they would with say an MKII, but even longer since mf skills slower and more expensivly than ranged.

Your Psycho Hit of 16 matches exactly your HA of 1.6 - the HA will always be your Hit level divided by 10. You didn't post your damage stats with the chip, but with a Dmg lvl of 20, your minimum damage should be [ MaxDam/4 + MaxDam/400*(Psycho Dmg Lvl)], so in your case with the Med NB chip: 36/4 + .09 * 20 = 10.8. This formula would hold for the non-SIB chips. For the SIB chips, you start with a higher HA and Min Damage (but the Max Damage starts way lower, so they are less eco to use).

Thanks very much for your help on this. Considering how much time I have invested in MF I really should know a little more about the way the stats on the chips work.

Incidentally you are completely right on the Dmg Interval - its 10.8!

I am just going to have to spend even more time skilling now

Whats your reckoning on the Harmony unlock - 30 or 50 ??
