Few reasons why MF is not used more:
- Most chips uneco - Not many useful chips - ME price is too high Now to solve those problems: Lower ME prices: - Increase Nexus droprate until it sells at less than 105% instead of the current (130-135% something?) 1000 nexus at 130% = 13PED, right? 1000 sweat at 0,5PEC = 5PED, right? 1000ME will be worth more than 18PED with those prices. If 1000 nexus = 102% then 1000 nexus = 10,2PED and 1000ME = 15,2PED. So if one ME is 1,52PEC worth instead of 1,8PEC it will make the chips more eco ![]() And about the usefulness of chips: When MA introduced (L) weapons and armor they made sure that they were better (maybe not more eco, but better) than UL counterparts (MOSTLY) to get people to use them instead. They need to do the same thing for MindForce. If you can use MF for... say... taming bigger mobs (mindcontrol chip) than with a whip, the tamers would use this instead, right? Even if they had to pay a LITTLE more for it? Thanks for reading, no posts about sweat price or stuff like that here please because that is not the topic. The topic is to make MF more interesting without having to lower (or raise, hrm) sweatprice ![]() |

But however, even if the chips are really strong I don't think that too many people will use it because of it being too uneco? MA can't make the chips use too little ME because then some chips will be too eco and they will lose money. |

I do not think it is all about the ME price or usage. The combat chips could be very usable even at lower levels if they had a bit better punch. Biggest drawback is, that some chips have no SiB. |

Cause I don't think that any of the MF chips has very good eco if you do? ![]() However, I must agree that the following IS needed to resurrect mindforce: - More different chips - More different levels of chips - Both uber and newb chips - SIB chips - (L) chips? - etc |

If you mine the nexus yourself and sweat it costs you around 120%. Might be my mistake, but I thought the wiki did include the pirce for ME in they eco calculation. |

Hi,
My 2 PEC's: Not exactly true, I guess, check entropedia (as said by others) Right, not only not many useful chips, but very few chips at all that are actually in market (but some basic ones) Since quite some chips actually have good eco (when at good HA) this is not true. Problem 1 is that they (the better ones) are most rare: There's just not enough of 'em advanced chips - not enough types, no (L) versions at all & not enough supply. Would you skill a profession where there nearly no lead-on-tools are existent? Problem 2 is the implants: All of the B*-type implants are rare as hen's teeth and accordingly insanely expensive. So if you'd be happy with your lesser TP chip, but maybe would like to use your moderate Nerve Blast Chip, your TT implant will not work anymore. You need a B*-type implant, and these are nearly inexistent in the market. So using MF at all doesn't make much sense - for sure, there are nice possibilities, but ask your purse about! Anything beyond impressing newbies with a small heal, an insta-Snable-Blast or TP'ing away becomes most expensive, because there's no supply at all with the tools needed. MA has begun it, has faced difficulties, and has forgotten it. Like so many other things. Ahhhh - the Mindforce! Have fun! |

Or you could increase sweat droprate further...
When it looted less of it and sold at 1,2 pec per unit and now loots more at 5 pec per unit, same result for the sweater. Solution: Multiply the current sweat ammounts by 5x, force it down to 1 pec per unit. Fixed. Last edited by Elwarth; 07-13-2008 at 01:59. |
