1) A 'home' tp chip will (generally) take you to the nearest tp by your apartment. If you haven't paid your rent, you can't TP home.
2) You can only tp home if you are on the same continent/planet 3) No, you cannot tp home to Amethera from CND/CP (although, a wormhole bug allowed you to when CND first came out, noggin was banned for it for a bit, and I still thinks it's bullshit that you can't wormhole to and from CND...) 4) The cost is extremely expensive with the higher end chips, BUT, if you have enough to use the chip for a normal teleport, it will still (currently anyhow) allow you to tp home if you don't have enough for a normal home tp. Meaning, for ease of brain power, it take 100 ped to just tp, but say 300 ped to go home, you have 200 ME, you can still tp home, but when you get there, you will have 0 ME. 5) Accuracy increases with higher prof lvls. Also, you can't tp home (or even use the tp chip iirc) if you don't have the req prof lvl. Back when I got my potent chip, I could barely use it, I'd end up 1km away from where I want to go. Now that I'm a bit higher lvl, I can darn near make it within 200 meters. My minor chip though, I am spot on with, everytime. Lastly, I'd like to add, currently, with the exception of 'tp home' abilities, the larger teleport chips are useless. I forsee this changing though with the introduction of new planets. I can envision tp's being 10km away from each other (that's like from ithica to troy, or like TI Castle to Nates, fyi). ~Red |
