Question: I am sure this has been asked before. but...

I am just wondering about the Medium TP chip. I have read on the forums that the chip does not actually TP you to your home, but to the nearest regular TP close to your home/condo. If you happen to own one of the beach homes on the Cape that is quite aways from the nearest TP. Will the chip work from anywhere or just within the normal range of the chip, i.e. 3.3Km. If you are on one island and your home is on another will it take you home or to the nearest TP to your home from there? How about CND or CP can you get down from there, I would think not but not sure.
One last question, I have noticed that on the higher TP chips the success rate is poor. What does that mean. Does it mean that it may not work or doesn't get you where you want?

not sure about the first stuff, but this means you need to skill up (in psycho ^^)

Ah, it means my skill lvl is not high enough to use the chip at the current time, like a UL weapon. Didn't even think of that, thanks a lot that makes sense. +rep 4U.

I do have a chip have not used in a long long time, but can't remember really... I used to tp right to my hangar (when I had one) if i remember correctly...

Well I guess that says it all. Thanks Wlford for the info and +rep 4U. One thing about it it uses 56 ME for a normal jump and 3 times that much for TP to home and being the cheapo I am if I had one I wouldn't use that TP to home very often.

One thing not mentioned in either thread is that if you have a shop it tp's you to your shop entrance (the genesis, omega, TI city shops) and not the nearest tp which is very handy when laden with goods

I assume with Mall shops being on various levels it takes you to the nearest tp but I haven't owned one so can't say for sure

I would also be interested to know if the houses set away from tp's actually tp to home (estate terminal) like the shops or to the nearest tp

I think (not having any higher level ones) it means, that unless your success rate is "excellent", you might end up at totally different direction than your target. In some VU, the "lesser" TP chip was a bit buggy so it was common that if you teleported, let's say straight south, you got straight north instead. With full skills.
Also, as a warning, if you use your TP-chip in the neighbourhood of a toxic zone (pvp3/pvp4), you might end up inside with your pockets full of loot when you tried to get to the TP (if you haven't "maxed" it).
