Different chips have different lvls...

Lesser=1
Minor=2
Medium=3
Moderate=4
Good=5
Potent=6
Strong=7
Powerful=8
?=9
?=10

Therefore, different implant support different levels... so if you want to use the moderate nb chip, youll need another implant, Bd is your best bet or a Bb which supports lvl 1-5

biggest chip level to date is powerful, and thats lvl 8

so a 1-9 might be a bit too hard (shooting chirpies with cannons)
and you will most likely not have the skills to use a bigger chip anyway atm

so, lower will be enough most likely
and also quite cheap

what i should mention, repair your implant before you insert it
decay cost of the inserter is 2 ped per use
the less often you use it the better

To answer the question though. You only need 1 implant. that implant will work for all chips you have that match its level. When you move up in chip levels, you remove the current implant and put in another for the higher level chips. When you can afford, get the Bd. It works just fine for me,, from the lesser tp chip up to the powerful heal, res and wormhole.

seems the only real option you have for lvl 1 to above 3 is the B series

if you dont want to use a lesser tp(lvl1), and maybe go for a minor (lvl2 ) you could go for an Ae implant too

i think Mikah posted the list already

but up to medium the tt implant will do it

since seven already suggested minor for healing, and thats level 2, it could work

it just limits you to medium focus (what you shouldn't use, its the worst focus chip out there afaik)

will be a tough decision

lots of good advice

a few points:
Buy a bd implant. Means no messing about switching implants as you work through the different level chips. As you progress you'll need to switch to higher than lvl 3 chips to keep the skills progressing. In short, if you can't afford a bd, you won't be able to support a mindforce habit. If you decide you don't like MF, should easily be able to sell the implant to someone.

The general understanding i believe is that focusing is the cheapest way to skill up psychotropy. However, it's quicker and more fun to use nerve blast (higher ME burn from NB hunting = faster spend = faster skills, & more fun to run round hunting than to stand & bubble all day).

Mindforce hunting/skilling will always be expensive, as "ammo" (Mind Essence) cost = sweat price + force nexus price. That's never going to cost you as little as 1 pec per shot like regular ammo.

Decent damage is a relative term, but "decent" in terms of efficient, think something like level 90+ in psycho damage. Any of the SIB chips are horribly inefficient. However, max dmg for the powerful NB chip is like 99, and the firestorm up to like 300 dmg or something!

Finally, cross skilling is probably worthwhile - concentration, psyche, later power catalyst, intelligence, and also some of the general skills will all help. To get things unlocked (power catalyst, wormhole chip, etc), it's quicker to concentrate on just one discipline though.

Go for a Bd implant. The high TT means that you dont have to pick it out for repair so often. And if you do Bioskilling my best tip is to use the bigges chip your skills support. Not best eco but fastest skillgain.

also in terms of a good skilling mob i was thinking tantillions? wht do u guys think

and with good skills and a not too pricy (100-300 ped) NB chip what kind of mob can one take down with ME..

also decay comes from the
1) ME as ammo
2) Bd chip (0.01 so very little right?)
3) NB or healing or focusing chip
?

Hi,
get a Bd implant and went to Nea's and do focus and heal like hell there.

if you do only healing calculate round 100k ME for reaching lvl 15 in Bio.

all your skills rise up like Psyche,inteligence,concentration and such more
