I always liked to be a "wizard" in all fantasy role playing games (Morrowind for example), so for me - mindforce is much cooler than using hardware.
I accumulated more than 7K of ME that noone wants to buy from me at 207% (LOL), so I think I will have to start sooner than I planned before. Yes I know mindforce is more expensive, but I think I'll have enough time and patience to gather enough sweat for my own use and I'm willing to learn how to mine the other ingredient - FN (to not have to buy it from miners). Btw. I don't plan to ever make any deposit and I'm here not for money - the growth of my avatar is what makes me like RPGs. So expect lots of newbish questions from me in following weeks hehehe ![]() |

gl on ur journey, but i have to tell you, MF is not a rewarding profession at all. you cannot do anything special that other hunters can't do apart from give people focus and teleport (yourself, which most can do). if you're really into it and are willing to spend big money, you can buy a powerful wormhole chip, which will allow you to teleport other people, but it requires immense skill.
so you won't really be able to rent out your services. the only advantage you will gain is that your skills will be worth quite a bit once you build them up. disadvantage is that if you want to keep doing MF you won't be able to sell them and reap the rewards lol. dunno if you already know all this just lettin you know, but so far, MF is just a very expensice hobby. gl with it!! |

MF is very expensive to use, you will be surprised i guess
kinda every useful fap beats MF heal chip kinda every useful weapon beats the MF NB chip, especially in the "beginning", which gonna last a longer time you gonna sweat a lot if you want to finance MF with it, but you get at least concentration doing so it is a quite stony path, gl ![]() |

![]() I like tough challenges ! Breaking through hard obstacles makes me happy - it's kinda like setting personal records in weightlifting which I temporalily can't train due to an injury. Every new 100 skill points will be such achievement to accomplish and be happy about. |

Well Sir, I am also not afraid of a challenge, but I find the information in this thread to be most disturbing... It's true, I have been told all along that the MF discipline was the most expensive and least rewarding one out there. And yet I am drawn to it all the same. Now having read the remarks here, I am feeling a bit down.
I am pouring a lot of time and money into MF. With the decay on the chip and implant, repairs costs quickly add up. The ME itself is also rather expense. The other day I bought 2k ME and used it all in an hour or two. The net result? An increase of about 32 skill points in Bio. That hardly seems right. And the biggest problem of all, as I see it, is that there is no potential for ever recouping your costs. It must remain a very expensive hobby. I wish that, when all was said and done, I could at least say it would pay off in the end. But it won't... I must end this post now. Sorry to be so negative, but I do wish MA would throw us a bone, and come up with a way for MF at least have the potential for profitability. Please...? Anyway, have to go. There are sweat gatherers at the Swamp Camp that need me. Sincerely, Donald |

if MF would improve, the ME price would rise well, most of us have cars, and most of us have tp chips (there are cheaper alternatives in both) and we all know what happens if fuel etc is rising... TP chip ppl would moan a lot could be sovled with nice alternatives ofc just to name, riding pets what would increase the use of pets and also the expertise of Tamers just a thought ![]() |

re Profitability:
What if you can gather your own Sweat and mine your own Nexus ? I have pleeeeeenty of time for sweating. ![]() I only wonder what is the real cost of getting Nexus ? Some miners sell it for 140%, some for 135% and I even bought some for 130% ~2 weeks ago, so it must be around 125% or lower right ? |

Says that for example maxed Nerve Blast Chip Medium avgdam/pec @ ME cost of 125% = 3,38 Maxed RepEdge 2x0 = 3.029 edit: Yes Im aware of the fact that you need focus charges if you want to be an effective Mindforce hunter. |
