Quoting from the 2008 land grab event:
Quote:
The extremely unfair situation regarding the Landgrabs is obvious for anyone to see. Eventhough we can use them, we have no way of getting them. The situation is almost absurd and is purely a spectator event for 99% of all players. |

You wanna sweat you have "focus" to help you sweat, so you "focus" YOURSELF, while being attacked by mobs you are sweating you "heal" YOURSELF, then when the mobs is dry you "Nerve Blast" it. This = your chance at global while gaining sweat which will HALF the cost of your ME use cost! Helping others is good but the more you focus sweaters and heal sweaters, ONLY the sweater gains from this cos he/she makes PURE PROFIT from selling sweat and gaining free skills, while you lose peds to skill. If people stopped skilling on sweaters sweat would be harder to get and MAYBE just MAYBE the sweat price will go up, but your a self skiller now who sweats your own sweat so the cost of ME wont matter to you unless you feel like selling some. |

definately the most practical skilling method, but some (like myself) would rather stand around and talk than go out and stand around and sweat. in those cases, sweaters make excellent skilling targets ![]() aside from that, the problem still remains of not enough variety OR practicality to in-game MF usage. I'm starting to wonder if an e-petition to MA would help any ![]() |

The only way to speed this process is to be resurrected using MindForce. -------------- As thinhgs are now - chip reuse time and success rate are bad also for those who skilled a lot. So maybe MF is going to change drasticaly until LG time. |

At the level I am now I use in average 6 k's ME a day, but sometimes more. That would be virtually impossible if I would have to gather all the sweat myself. I sometimes heal a friend who is a pro-sweater on big mobs, and he's decent enough to share the sweat with me. Fully agree. Something has to be done about MF, that's for sure. |

Click on the picture of me to see what happened the other day when I hit a wondering Xaro for 255 critical with my good firestorm. MF sux, I go through cycles of using it - because it's so depressing. Of course the question is why do it if it's so depressing a skill. The answer is more depressing - cos every skill and activity in EU is depressing. I too believe the model for MF use was designed around a single person. Even resuscitation chips are not designed for group benefit - but simply to the glory of the user. Just as you pay for the glory of your name in global chat for globals and hofs, you pay for glory by spending huge amounts of peds and ME reviving people. Firestorm does look cool, it does attract interest. Just the same way as a DOA attracts interest. It is not cheap to purchase, or cheap to use. This is why it's rare and thus gains interest. To be honest I don't see any issue with the drop-rate on MF chips - sure I'd like to get a lvl 3 TP chip easier - there are more complicated market dynamics involved. Dumping more L stuff into EU wont do us any favor. It would successfully lower the resale value of non-L MF chips while providing the same amazing benefits that L weapons bring to the wallets of Entropians far and wide. The best skill is the skill your neighbour doesn't have. I absolutely detest MA's nerf of skilling, it's so pointless to BOTH make skill lvls impossible to reach AND when they are reached to ensure that they don't actually provide any benefit. Also compounded by the 'skill inflation' policy MA has, where by every year the skill we have are devalued as MA raises the stakes. Meaning everyone is forced to deposit masses amounts of money on a perpetual basis to actually have fun. However all this said, the exclusivity of 1 skills difficulty is another matter. I'm a swordsman, it's not esp. fun or quick to skill. However now I enjoy pretty decent use of katanas. It's something I can do, that others don't find to be workable economically. This is similar with MF. |

i agree there should be more better chips dropping.
the whole point to skill up is to use the usefull chips and if they are rare and cost sill money and have no real use i dont see the point. it's not like the univers would become a soo different place if more people had res chips and wormhole chips. there might be the odd reseller that mught have a moan about drop in pricve but that the risk you take. I was searching for a Wormhole chip that I could use to help noobs get the Emerald Lakes Mall TP if I was to buy a shop there, wandering through Twin Mall I stubled apon a certain avatars shop who has alot of high lvl MF chips all of which are 2-5k ABOVE market price! I'd maybe pay 50-100 above if I really wanted it but 2-5k is silly, people will know who I reffer to with this. P.s. Nice Sig pic Plonker would that be my Betty your holding there?
