How many spots

Hi there!
Just started mining yesterday, i guess i didnt that that bad since i made a little profit. First thought a small loss, but then saw that probes are not 1 but .5 ped

BUt i guess i could have made more. My first probe i got an average deposit. Tried serveral probes around it but found nothing. I walked about 80-100 m (i think).
Now is it possible there is only 1, or did i walk too far , or am i too unskilled (really only lev 10 in mining).

The next hit i got another in the surroundings but then when you draw the line there was nothing else. Are they in a line or in circkels more?

i dont know much about mining but when you find a deposit, its possible when you drop a probe right next to your claim you could get another deposit if thats what you're asking

Question is how likely is it that there are more deposits in the neighbourhood.
And how are the spread. Is it a line or a circkel?

No one really knows and if anyone was to fgure it out then MA would change it.

I know people who have found 10 or more deposits by dropping another probe where they found the last one, then again those same people have also done this on 20 or more desposits and found nothing.

Skill - allows you to search deeper and further so gives you a better chance

Pattern - If I knew that I would be a rich miner and not a poor hunter

Whie I am still just an amateur miner it has been my experience that minerals do sometimes run in veins. This means that if you find a deposit then another west of it, keep going west and you will be much more likely to find another deposit of the same material.

I think its pretty random. The more important thing is to get as much area covered with as few probes, atleast it is to me. I recommend placing bombs 100m apart, or 50m away from a confirmed hit.

Skill helps you find rarer ore and deeper deposits, but depth has nothing to do with deposit size as far as we know.

In a way it's like when hunting....when it's supposed to happen, it happens!

For me, mining is moody....one time I can cluster bomb and get even 3-4 deposits in a row and another day (same area, with time difference) I am lucky to find even a V.Poor.....

I am way behind with the mining-comprehension

Ok so i wasnt being sloppy in fully getting all the deposits in that area. I thought when i only got one i must have 'overlooked' the others.
