Meaning that this is the region they *primarily* will find resources in when the tool is maxed as far as your profession/skill level goes. By primarily I would like to clarify that on occassion, finders will find resources upon occassion at far greater depths, though for the most part, within a tolerance range +/- of a certain distance of the average search depth. What I was referring to in my post and the other listed posts in this thread, is that resources (ores/enmatters) have a *minimum* average depth that they can start to be commonly found at ... ofc course this extends to the the possible maximum depth any resource can be found at within EU at this time along with the infrequent oddity of it being found closer to the surface than what it's usual starting average depth is normally. ~ Sparkz |

Dumb question time!!!!
I've recently graduated in prospecting so I've done quite a bit of mining but as I find with this thread I still discover things I don't know! I note down all of my finds but I've never taken a blind bit of notice about depth. (I really should use NRF but I play in full screen mode so it's difficult). Anyway, onto the question. Would it theoritcally be possible to bomb a place with a decent finder and get a NRF and then rebomb it with a TT finder and get a claim at a small depth? +Rep for the thread Immortal |

I have (as all miners have) accidently dropped a second bomb due to lag, not paying attention, usually when getting attacked the equipment seems to swap extra slowly and have globaled several times and have gotten normal claims as well.
As for switching finders and doing this on an NRF it rarely works. there was a thread a while back on this concept and standing in one place dropping all you bombs that has alot of other answers as well. |

actually.....weird things of all weird things.
I have TWICE, dropped a bomb, gotten an nrf, and then accidentally dropped another. WITHOUT moving. (i accidentally click my orefinder again instead of enmatter finder) And I have found something......its very weird, I assume that its because I was EXTREAMLY lucky and managed to drop my second bomb just after it a claim spawned in that 2 5 seconds interval between drops or something. |

I am 100% certain that I found a II Durulium deposit with either the old TT finder or the OreFinder 101. This was about a year ago so I don't know if it can still be done, but the other day I found a V Durulium with the Z5, and my average search depth with it at the time was 285 (I know this because it was my last bomb and I looked right after).
And Tamn, you probably just searched at a different depth when you dropped the 2nd bomb, and there was a deposit a the 2nd depth but not at the 1st depth. |
