You use any item in EU it decays by a set amount. That set amount is what MA takes out of EU. It matters not how much you paid for the item or if you can repair it or its (L). Usable items decay upon usage that "fee for usage" so to speak is removed from the EU system(or a % is removed).

Any +% that an item sells for goes into the sellers pocket to either withdraw or recycle back into the system it just depends on what that player is doing with their profits.

There is really nothing complex about it. Items decay upon use. Decay gets taken out of EU. If your item is repairable you can re-up tt value at a repair terminal. If its (L) then you need to find a crafter to replace the item and pay them mark up to do so. In essence crafters are kind of like repair terminals with a variable +% tacked onto the (L) items they can make.

The mechanics of how MA does it are not that important, what is important is knowing that each time you click your TK220 it decays and those 3.96 pecs go to MA with each click until the tt value hits 3% minimum condition.

Definitely agree there mate!

Agree on the decay up to the point where MA's liability decreases if the tt value is reduced but my assumption was that people aren't tt'ing the 220s. If they are then this whole mining finds based on finder value is kind of irrelevant

Zand is all over Segna but you'll need a TK320 or higher for low-regular finds.

TK220 does find it but to date I still only found it once.

Gold is found at around 700m, so both finders can reach that depth with ease.

So forget about depth entirely, it is about finders. Depth is just a smokescreen. More expensive finders have higher probability finding rare ores then cheaper ones. End of story.

I found Ruga, Xere, Langotz, Gold... with TK220 on depths easily reachable with other finders but other finders always failed to find those ores (except occassional gold find) so I know what I'm talking about.

Same goes for Zanderium. If you mine for it using OF105 or even OF212L you will have very hard time finding any.
