Meaning of mineral names?

Well, if you look at entropedia there is name meaning for every creatures, for example:

Atrox - Atrox comes from the Latin, it means atrocious, bad , terrible, cruel, horrible, mean. I would say it's a pretty suitable description for an Atrox.

I wonder if enmatter/ore names have some meanings also, there are some very clear ones like "gold", "iron" and "crude oil" as well.

Altho I'm not a linguistical noob ... none of the ores/enmatter names seem to have roots in any language. The latin -um (Dianum, Erdorium and such) suffixes add a bit to the Asterix feel for sure .

MA might have engaged a naming agency for creating some unique words there (altho I'd wish they would spend their development budget on other things like fixing bugs that annoy us all)

Azzurdite - THIS is Blue, this is Red...?
Belkar - Belkar's stone
Blausariam - Blau= Blue in German
Caldorite - Caldo is soup in Portuguese. Like in the joke about stone soup.
Cobalt - no comments here
Copper same here
Cumbriz - La Cumbre, a volcano
Dianum - Diana's stone, maybe in memory of princess Diana
Durulium - Latin, durus= hard
Erdorium - Hungarian, Ergo= forest, makes sense as it's green
Frigulite - tribute to frigging.
Ganganite - sacred river Ganga in India, we call it Ganges river
Gazzurdite - Italian, gazza= magpie
Gold - Gold, doh
Hansidian - Hans' stone, Hans is a Northern European name
Himi - a rock for Finnish rock band HIM. No this isn't in Japanese, I'd know it otherwise.

I piggy backed(added to) off of what Sofia had. I used wiki for about 95% of my research. Would be really cool if some one went through and did a bit more research.

Belkar - Belkar's stone, Belkar Bitterleaf character from something called The Order Of The Stick, Rich Burlew's web comic? also found with a refrence to Azure City.

Blausariam - Blaus was white in German, no? It's Blue...? Els Blaus (The Blues)

Caldorite - Caldo is soup in Portuguese. Like in the joke about stone soup. If you look at a pic of the soup, looks like it has caldorite in it.

Cobalt - no comments here, The word cobalt is derived from the German kobalt, from kobold meaning "goblin", a term used for the ore of cobalt by miners.

Cumbriz - La Cumbre, a volcano, La Cumbre (Spanish: "the peak") is the name of several places.

Dianum - Diana's stone, maybe in memory of princess Diana. Di=greek for 2 or Italian for of or from. Anum is 6 in Filipino. Also, anom (not anom) can be used as a pesonal pronoun "yours"
