Comments:
Before this run I bought new EnMatter equipment for myself. I now have MatterFinder MF-102 and MatterDriller MD-102. This is equal to my Ore equipment.

One of the first claims was a succes: XII Crude Oil at ~35 PEDs. I got two IX claims along the way too. Crude Oil and Lysterium.
Those two are also about the only thing I have found there.

The Durulium Ingot was one claim that I found westish from the outpost south of Nymphtown.

Which gives me a bit of a mixed feeling if this is a good mining place. I had some good claims, but all things that I've found everywhere. The mobs are agressive and not always easy to deal with for any miner (Aetherex).

All the mining paid off in skills as well.

All in all, I'm satisfied with mining this time and satisfied with my new mining tools.

im not a miner really just mine for a few enmatters
wouldnt it be better if you got a ju40?
or even a ju55 (or maybe more) with those skills?

I'm not really a miner myself either, eventhough this data suggest I should be one. The reason why I haven't bought a Ziplex is that I don't like (L) items. When I deceided I wanted to upgrade my EnMatter tools, I took a look at Entropedia and removed all (L) finders and then made my decision what to buy.

Comments:
I wanted to try out mining here. For some reason I thought that I would find a lot here. I found not much and what I found is found all over Treasure Island. I even found a gap in the Second Entity area, but again it was poor mining for me.
I got one X-ish oreclaim. All the others couldn't get above V.

The Miner Bots weren't good at finding things either:

I got a Blausariam claim right next to this Miner Bot. The moment I took a picture, it attacked me with a 100+ critical hit.

My hunting results are very close to my mining results this time.
The days of 60 bombs and probes are over now. I'm not sure how big (small) the next runs will be, that depends on how much I want to spend hunting now.

Location: North of Camp Phoenix

Comments:
Not very much to say. I couldn't find anything worth mentioning. Here's all I've found:

I do think it's a better area then most expect it to be. Diripies aren't all that bad and can easily be killed with an amped Opalo and no armour.

Location: North of Fort Zeus
Bombs: 26
Probes: 26
Decay: 2.01 PEDs
Total loot: 39.78 PEDs
Leftover: 32.85 PEDs
Return: 97.0%

Comments:
The first couple of bombs and probes where futile. I couldn't find anything, untill I got further north. There, along the beach, I found most claims and a few good ones as well. I'm glad about that, or the result would be much much lower.

Those Erdorium stones are also found somewhere along the beach.

Another thing to say: I'm still figuring out how much bombs and probes I can drop to spend about as much as hunting. I think that 24 bombs/probes will be slightly better.

Hmm.. bullshit no avatars got more luck that others and even if ur hunting gear is better it doesnt batter. If you know what you do in mining it's not hard to profit! <<< Hellfire wrote that in a post 1 year ago. Hes right in average you wont lose in mining as much as you do in hunting because you get markup of everything. TT will be better too because of that you are not maxing your weapons.

This is what i think. I cant know things in this game 100%

Comments:
Less then 70% return is very bad in mining. I started with a lot of nothing and was wondering if there was anything in the ground at all. I did ended with rather a lot of different resources.

General comment:
I've spend 1000 PEDs in both hunting and mining and only one lousy global to show. And not even for mining ...

One thing: I don't know what I'm doing when mining. Unless you count drop a bomb and then a probe and the next not too close.
If my hunting result is lower because I'm not using a maxed out weapon, it should get better now. Take a look in the hunting part and make your own conclusion. I'd say it doesn't matter that much and it can't account for a difference in average return of 10%. My average return is ~80% mining and ~70% hunting.

Comments:
Ever since I started hunting with noobweapons my mining results went down. This run has been done some days earlier. The few Erdorium claim is intresting this far in noobland. It has a nice little markup of ~120%.

I do hope it gets better soon. This run was the second worst of all Mining vs. Hunting runs. (talking about mining returns only here).
In the hunting thread I've posted some figures about how much I've spend on each profession and what the return is.

I've mined here before and always got a happy return. Now it was nothing at all.

I know I'm going out of this poor mining period. I did another run shortly after this one which looks promising. I want to finish my hunting before I can update that one.
