on topic : I think its just a matter of time. It will happen sooner or later, and odds are (although slim) another Dub type hit of a rare ore. (then we will have even more reason to be jealous/envy him (oh and also to *shake fist* at when our mining runs are going poorly))

I have a theory about this, lol.

Mining amps as well as increasing your claims, i think they have caps as well.

generally speaking, when you look in the mining ATH's, 70% are done with 101 and 102 amps. Very rarely is anything done with anything larger than that.

Just a trend I've noticed

I don't think you can get above 24-25k with a 102 (on the planet). If you can I'd like to know about it (evidence).

Well, I'd have to go do some research, but thats what I mean, the 20k and under bracket has a significant amount of 102 amppage used. While the 30, 40, 50k's are using 101's or unamped from everything that I remember.

like I said again, I have no hard evidence of this fact, as I simply have noticed this trend, but have not written anything down.

No way to really get hard facts on this, as its basically you see someone ath, ask em what they used. Maybe there lieing for some reason, 0.o

Sounds like a theory... but many people get massive ATH's with amps...

Perhaps using amps like 103+ boosts overall deposits and reduces chances of ATH, but if you hit one with amp on, its gonna be gigantic...

Daily miners get back what they put in, sometimes a lil less sometimes a lil more, but about brake even longterm (depends on markups and blah), thats the reason why Jeff is not on the ATH list, he might loose 7k ped this week mining and next week you see him tower for 9k total. When going out on 39bomb runs with his un-L oa105, consider he will get his 220-280ped back per run average+longterm, but dont forget that he is just repairing his amp not paying oa105 markups, which turns out to be a nice profit.

In case he once looses 20-30-50k ped first (and i dont think this will happen) he will ath thereafter for that or more sooner or later. Everything else what might happen is luck, but having toys like an oa105 has nothing to do with luck anymore on a normal day.
