Smile A new tool for Miners

A little tool i coded... check it out:
http://www.gumweb.eu/

Edit10: New Update available: Version Alpha08

New:
  • CND Maps (kind of )
  • Select Depth range for Claims on the Map
  • Edit Data before you save
  • Switch Adverts on/off (settings)
To use the share option, Version 078 or higher is mandatory!

Know Problems:
- If you upload your claims and try to scroll the list, the app seems to freeze. Just wait a bit until upload is done.
- iFound might crash on systems with NVIDIA GFX Cards (quite rare). Your Data is save. Try to install a new driver.

If you update from an version older than 078, just keep the file ../DB/iFound.rsd. Copy this file into your new ../DB/ Folder. Replace the exisiting one.
You will loose your Public Finds. That does not matter.. just share your files again and there you go

+Share your Finds! You can connect to MavelLabs SQL Server and Share your Finds. For each find you upload, you get one in return
(unless the server has no new data for you or you did try to scam and upload crap )
The Server holds a total of around 800 unique Claims at the moment.
You will need to set your Username and Password in the Settings. Choose it wise since you will get fu*ked if you change it again later .
Also Port 3306 needs to be open so iFound can connect to the server.

If you like to give it a try, just download the newest version from www.gumweb.eu

Files are checked with Avira AntiVir for viruses and passed. But check on your own too just to be on the save side. Files are compiled on a Mac so chances are very low for a virus.

Have fun!

1000 EF$ for each Bug you find in iFound Alpha0781!
(until i run out of EF$ )
every Bug counts only once

look like a useful tool. +rep. Some question or request. Is there a Map to show where is the claim found at? Is there a way for you to make a screen capture of the mining deed info and tranfer or convert it in to data? I ask this because sometime I get in tight spot with Mobs and I won't have time to enter the data manually. It would be nice if I can just click open the claim deed, push a button and the data capture and tranfer over.

It looks good from an initial first glance. Before I go into any real details with it - do you have to run EU in windowed mode to use it?

Good job man. Nice little program there. Would also be helpful if you could open the source code for inspection / download, so that we can compile our own version of the app.

(It's not that I don't trust ya - but I won't run an exe file off da interweb generally)

Looks like a nice tool.
Are you planning on integrating an OCR in it ?!
Really would need a picture scanner to save me the trouble of inserting it manually an NFR just does not seem to do the job (took me 4 hours to insert all my finds and now it can't read the file it saved)

Just a short note from me, more tomorrow.

- No OCR. But entering the find is really quick. If mobs are around...kill them and check the deed for data.
- No Maps yet, will follow.
- Window-mode is needed. (unless you like to switch to desktop or run the programm on a second machine.
- Its not openscource. But no network traffic coming from the app. Photon: Maybe i give you the Framework and code and you take a look at it...
- The file is a selfextracting rar. If you have winrar you can choose that to extract. No need to execute the file.. i will change it to just rar for the next update...

Those who like can have a MacOSX Version of the programm, np (maybe Linux too.. later...)

have fun and thanks for your trust. All i can say... 100% NO BAD stuff in the software. I have better to do and too much fun in EU than to grab some passwords.
AND: Get a GC people!

Yours,
Bear

I cant say manuall input is fast, fast for me would be 5-10 seconds but this will take to long, first tab to the prog, select tab for ore or enmatter, then tab back to eu to check coords, tab back again and type in coords and most likely tab back again as one might not remember all numbers, then tab back again and select type of ore or enmatter, tab back and check other info like depth perhaps and so on.. ie it will take atleast 30sec to type in the info and that is to long, would make my miningrun be 20 minutes longer atleast.

Dont get me wrong here though, it's a great effort and most likely a very usefull prog, but without ocr it is not worth the hassle to type everything in.
