Well....

When I first started this game a month or two ago, a friend of mine told me about strange signals.

For the first time I get one tonight, lose the bloody signal because the mining screen closed after a few seconds & some other fecker got it instead.

I would say he or she stole it but I read somewhere that it's not directly given to the miner that sees it.
But it bloody well feels like they did :/

This really pissed me off as I've never had one before & the git that got it told me he or she had something real nice and was well happy with him or herself.

I am pissed about this, my first signal & bullshit loss of it subsequently.

That really sucks !

The strange signal / ship is in fact spawned by a miner - but unfortunately there are no "ownership" rules in place for spaceships.

There is no deed to the ship - so anyone can "inspect" it and claim the loot.

They do spawn far away from where you are - so that leaves us miners running like idiots for about 250 meters - praying we don't see a green dot that will steal "our" ship.

The only time in Entropia that someone found my ship before I did, they were nice enough to return the loot, including the robot beacon that was looted from the spacecraft.

You can name the person for their bad behavior .. by the way .. so if you feel like sharing .. I feel like hearing who it was

I cant remember their exact name, it was something like Trynpdant Trynpdant pl or similar & it looks like the ship spawned right in top of him or her.

They said they got something tt +350 but who can tell *shrug*

Now I am concerned that I shouldn't mine anywhere where there are other people in case it happens again.

Not much you can do about it but for that person to go and be a brat and tease you thats just wrong.

thats ironic cause in the last 3 weeks im just mining and then i see a drone and im like what no drones in this area, next thing i see is a spaceship so i get it, with a beacon, and continue my journey...
I think in some cases the people cant kill the drones so they leave it , or they dont know what it is and leave it
At any rate, spaceships are fair game, although i have never found a spaceship and had to hurry and get to it before someone stole it, so im sure its rare to have that happen to u

The worst part is, they shouldn't be fair game.
It's spawned BY the miner.
It goes INTO the mining hof list - if the list's low enough.

That sucks mate, I lost my first ship but more through lack of information had only been playing maybe 3 days... i tried sweating the bot lol, and didn't even have any weapons.
Cheer up it happens you will find another and most people will wait a while before claiming to see if a miner turns up, sucks that the guy rubbed it in though.
Keep dropping and if i see any claims of his i'll leave him a mob surprise .
