Mining Mentor Needed

Hello all...
I have played EU on and off for around 2 years. I have never played it enough to get anywhere major and recently I have started minng.
I am new to mining and i am looking for a mentor. I just need someone to 'show me the ropes' as it were...

I don't have a massive amount of PEDs however, so I can't do anything too speedy. I think I have enough PEDs to go at a fair rate though...
Anyone interested?

I think it is too late for u to have a mentor now as u said u played frome 2 years ago

If you want a few advices now and then I will be happy to help out... I wont be able to give out any info about "secret" super areas or stuff like that, but basic info and a few guidelines I can do

I'm curently lvl 37prospector and mine about 1K bombs per day.

Most SoF members or SoF cadets members will know where to find me - Or drop me a PM and we can figure out where to meet.

It is not entirely impossible to have a mentor even though you've passed the skill threshold to officially have one through EU's mentoring system. A mentor is anyone who is willing to teach and give advice.

Thanks all, as I said, I havn't played properly for 2 years - I have played very intermittently, and never properly. These are my mining current levels:

Drilling: 37
Geology: 31
Mining: 22
Prospecting: 4 (very nearly 5)
Surveying: 53

Again, as I said I have some favoured mining spots already, so i'm not just doing it for them. What I want is someone who can pass on some of their knowledge they have gained over the time they have mined and be able to answer some questions.

So far Silver Ice and Waheed look to be good choices, anyone else with an offer? :P

Also, what is the minimum level I must be to get a mentor?

Hey mate

If you want some advice I am happy to help.

I play for about 3 years, I am a miner since the first day. Don't have much peds to spend all the time (sometimes they come, but then they go quickly :P).
I can't afford to spend 1k peds on bombs each day, but I wish I could

Not as skilled as Waheed too, but almost there

Well, students are just poor

If you want some advice let me know on private and we will meet in game. I usually hang around Hades C when not mining....

You are too skilled to have a mentor I am affraid, but I help people who are not disciples... Doesn't matter to me

I think 20 skill points is the cutoff to have an official mentor, if I remember right. You are way beyond that.

You've received a few replies from some skilled miners here already. If i was you i'd arrange to meet them in game to get them on your fl and tap into their knowledge that way. Or use this thread as a springboard for all your mining questions

Annoyingly, I just wrote a rather long reply but since I have less than 5 posts and I added a link to neo maps it was deleted :(

Anyway, here goes again haha...

Thanks alot to everyone who replied, I also recieved a few PMs (one of them a whole guide by Silver Ice which was very, very helpful.) Any help would be really appreciated and I can never have too much, so please, if you are in the know and feeling generous, please PM me.

Also, if you have also just begun mining and are around my level, get in touch and we can compare data. I don't play EU to make money, I play to have fun so I am happy to show you some of the spots I have found so far to be good so far.

I map all my claims on Neo Maps, (Google it, I can't add links yet but it is great and deffinitely worth the effort) it helps work out mining fields.

My in game name is:
Alex Thecool Piffersnoodle
and I am generally on in the evening (GMT) anywhere around Eudoria.

Here is that link I mentioned for Neo Maps. Alot of you probably already use it, but if you don't it really is a great way to map anything, not just mining and it's free.
