Stones, Fruit, Dung and Claims

I don't think they are connected beyond the premise that if I find fruit/dung/stones while mining it is due to stopping to drop bombs/probes or stopping to extract a claim. I find fruit/dung/stones while hunting due to stopping to shoot at something.

I once wasn't sure where I was so I stopped to open the map and found fruit.

It probably has a chance to span whenever you stop. Either that or its always there, and you usualy run past it before it fades into view if you are running.

I duno, i always seem to have poor luck if i drop a bomb/probe after i spot something on the ground. Picking it up before or after the bomb makes no difference, my hit rate is about 10% since i stated keeping track.

Other people seem to have great luck.....which would seem to point to the fact that they are not related at all.

There is one interesting thing im pretty sure of at this point. Lately if i find dung i don't pick it up but i do write down the coords. At the end of the run i run back and pick it up. Since you cant drop dung after you pick it up now, i don't want to get weighted down till the end of the run. Anyway it seems if i take more then 1 hour to return its always gone. Some of them have been in spots I'm pretty darn certain non one else would visit before i would have returned. So, it seems they have the same expire time as a basic claim. I dont know if that means anything but its interesting.

I use to drop a probe when i found fruit,

I use to think it was a positive sign, but it made no differnce to finding a claim, infact i lost more, as I dropped more... So I would say, it has nothing to do with claims, the reason you see it or find it is because you stopped moving or running.

It is very interesting ... did not test it yet. Item found has expiration time like claims? by the way they are the same for all ppl, but claims no and robot spaceships are the same too ... maybe they have expiration too.

I will try next time if i find some fruits sit down next to it and wait 1 hour if it disappear (well dung will be better so i will not need to set my teeth to pick it up ... reason: How big was your simple find (fruits, stones or dung) ... sorry to hijack )
