NRF Log Sharing - Ok, I coded it I hope you find it useful

That should increase the database a little, btw every single deposit is in PvP4 and you can clearly see where certain ores can be found...

...though sorry no himi deposits uploaded, I have about 60 himi deposits but I would have to be coerced into giving those away


EDIT: I had a quick look at the combined database that was sent to me, at the very least it's cool to have some data for Eudoria as I have almost none there myself

I'm not sure if this was intentional or not but all of the dates are the same

and there were some blank entries

Hopefully today I'll have the time to figure out how those blanks and bad dates got in there, then I'll clean them up and put some code in to prevent any more of those. Thanks as well for that feedback so I can make this better for all!

UPDATE: Ok, I just checked the database table. There are a couple hundred records that have this character at the end of the Version Update. So when you try to upload the CSV into NRF it is forcing an extra line feed and creating what seems like blank rows. See Image:



The good news is that there are no blanks or bad dates in the database, the bad news is that at this very moment I'm not sure how to fix it and I'm supposed to be working right now! I will get on it ASAP though.

No, no Earl... just two more. If it doesn't send you a file it doesn't take your records. So it will not recognize the 98 you tried to load as dupes.

Oh no, I feel ripped off, I submitted a log of 100 finds and it uploaded to the webpage fine, it said I will get an email with all the other logs, but I have not gotten an email yet, i checked the junkmail folder and nothing is in there.

Is there any issues with the email server (the sending one that is)

Hey Freddy, you're the second to report this so I added mysefl to the Bcc line just to make sure the emails are going.

I did receive a Delay Notification this morning on a hotmail account, so in at least one case the email went out but the recipient account is having a problem.

But don't worry, I'll hook you up. I'll PM you a link where you can download your file soon.

Please see Hellfire's post where he points out the 'blank rows.' I responded that the problem is caused by what looks like an extra line feed or new paragraph marker at the end of a bunch of rows.

I threw a quick fix in that I think will prevent more of those for now, and updated the offending rows, but I'm concerned that you guys that got files with those in there will not be able to import them as I'm having trouble doing so; NRF throws an error when I try to import.

Please post how you made out? If the file is not working for you I'll get a new one out to you at some point today.. but I'm about to get pretty busy and may not be able to do it until end of the day.

For those error lines, are the files they sent up in the correct format?

Also wouldnt it be easier to just parse the new db when one uploads and create a new temp file that we can download sort of? instead of the email i mean.

I was able to import the file into NRF without any trouble, but if you are able to fix it up a bit it would be cool if you could send me a new one (without the blank lines and stuff)

I hope that people upload a generous amount and not just 100 lyst deposits and leech off others
