1-JULY SITE IS FINALLY BACK ONLINE!
Currently 29,625 records in the database! Average Depth & Size Analysis now available! There is now an 'Analysis' link button that takes you to a page where you can enter a Key which then grants you access to two new pages. There is one for Eudoria and one for Amethera. To use the page, click and drag from top-left to bottom-right somewhere on the map. When you release the mouse button, a square will be drawn around that section of the map. Click the Submit button to get the claim types found in that region, and the average depth and size for claims in that area. You get a key by contributing at least 100 records to the database (you also still get the entire database dumped back to you in csv format.) The key is good for 30 days. I'm going to send a current key to those that have contributed thus far. If you did contribute, but did not post here, PM me one record that you know is in the database becaue you uploaded it -OR- the name of the file you downloaded and I will reply with a key for you to use for the next month. Thanks to all that have contributed so far! The database is already much bigger than I thought it would be 6 months from now! As a result I'm already consider more analysis updates, like perhaps an ad-hoc query page. Remember, if you have already uploaded your log, once you get 100 more you can just reload your whole log and it will filter out the duplicates for you. Original post: A couple of weeks ago I made this post: Log sharing site - If I code it would you use it? And I got enough positive response that I decided to go forward with the project. I just posted a site at http://www.entropiaminers.com In summary: If you use NRF you can export entries to XML. If you upload at least 100 new entries to this site, it will email you back a .csv file with all the entries in the database. The entries must be recent (this year), valid (see the site, it will explain what I mean) and they must not be duplicates (although you do not need to weed out the stuff you uploaded previously, it will do that for you.) I thought it would take me a few days or a week to get this done in my spare time (ha, what spare time?!) But it wound up taking me about 3 weeks; it was a lot harder than I thougt. However, I think I've got it working pretty well now. HOWEVER, if you find bugs or problems I will support the best I can. PM me here or you can even send screenshots to my email (see the site) if you have trouble. The site is programmed not to save your data unless you get your file. I'm not trying to harvest anyone's secret spots. But considering that it turned out to be more tricky than I thougt, there could be bugs that I didn't find during my testing. If that happens I will help the best I can as fast as I can. Well I hope some of you find this useful. As I said in my other post, maybe with a master list of claim spots we will wind up with just the information we need to speculate wildly about how the EU loot and claim system works. ![]() blubalou Last edited by blubalou; 07-02-2008 at 04:02. |

i like the looks of it, but it didn't accept any of my data. you stated it had to be 'this year' and i read it as 'within the year'
so tried to upload a bunch of data that didn't happen in 2008, but did happen before 12 months have passed. i haven't done much mining since the new year, nor when i do have i used nrf. it got a bit wonky for a while with the vu font changes i just stopped using it.in any case, i guess i have to get mining a little more to get you some valid data ![]() |

Hmmmmmmmm... I think it will just call those 'Invalid Records' and move on to the ones it likes. However, I'm not 100% sure because I used my own export for coding this and I do not log my drops.
It first checks the XML file to make sure it is not malformed or incomplete, then it checks the schema versus an XSD file. That is the part I'm not sure about... I do not know if claimless drops change the schema, although I doubt it. And once it gets past the file check and schema check, it processes one record at a time. So as long as the file is well formed and the schema is the same, you should be in business. Give it a shot. If you have any problems, let me know and I'll try to fix it up for you. ![]() |

![]() Just on a side note, technically there isn't anything to stop people making up deposits right? |

Would be a more interesting thing if you could auto parse the logs into "per-year" instead of restricting them to "within THIS year". Then the geniuses amongst us can view and track alterations lol.
BTW do you have a form of this which could be loaded onto a private socs website, and used there? If not, are you considering making one? I could see this as being VERY useful for miners in a soc who want to collate their data together automatically, and on demand. |

Well if someone would like to make their own deposits and make atleast a hundred new.. erm well to much work.. and also why do it if you want the correct ones aswell? your would corrupt the db and just fool yourself to go to some spot where you said stuff were but aint :P
